Velik\u00e9 obliby se dost\u00e1v\u00e1 i \u0158ecku a jeho tepl\u00e9mu klimatu. Vl\u00eddn\u00ed lid\u00e9, skvostn\u00e9 pam\u00e1tky a v neposledn\u00ed \u0159ad\u011b kostely a kl\u00e1\u0161tery. Ty dok\u00e1\u017eou p\u0159i n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bv\u011b ocenit i turist\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed by se k n\u011b\u010demu podobn\u00e9mu v b\u011b\u017en\u00e9m \u017eivot\u011b neodhodlali. Historie zem\u011b je velice starobyl\u00e1 a bohat\u00e1. Ka\u017ed\u00fd kraj, ka\u017ed\u00fd ostrov m\u00e1 svoje specifika. Co je spojuje, je v\u00edra. K\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed, a to pravoslavn\u00e9, kter\u00e9 p\u0159es dv\u011b tis\u00edcilet\u00ed pom\u00e1halo a pom\u00e1h\u00e1 n\u00e1rodu p\u0159ekonat v\u0161echny d\u011bjinn\u00e9 obt\u00ed\u017ee, kter\u00fdch nebylo zrovna m\u00e1lo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V tomto \u010dl\u00e1nku bychom cht\u011bli p\u0159ibl\u00ed\u017eit d\u011bjiny c\u00edrkve na ostrov\u011b Kr\u00e9ta \u2013 nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edm z \u0158eck\u00fdch ostrov\u016f a celkov\u011b p\u00e1t\u00e9m ve St\u0159edozemn\u00edm mo\u0159i. Podle staro\u0159eck\u00fdch m\u00fdt\u016f je Kr\u00e9ta pova\u017eov\u00e1na za m\u00edsto zrozen\u00ed Dia \u2013 vl\u00e1dce olympsk\u00fdch boh\u016f. V dob\u011b neolitu, tj. v 3. a 2. tis\u00edcilet\u00ed p\u0159. n. l., byla Kr\u00e9ta jedn\u00edm z center velmi vysp\u011bl\u00e9 M\u00ednojsk\u00e9 civilizace, nazvan\u00e9 podle kr\u00e1le M\u00edn\u00f3a. Ta po sob\u011b zanechala ruiny sv\u00fdch pal\u00e1c\u016f, z nich\u017e nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed je Kn\u00f3ssos. Znalost v\u00fdroby bronzu, rozvoj hrn\u010d\u00ed\u0159stv\u00ed a kovotepectv\u00ed a obchodn\u00ed styky zp\u016fsobily, \u017ee se M\u00ednojsk\u00e1 civilizace rozvinula ve v\u00fdznamnou n\u00e1mo\u0159n\u00ed velmoc. P\u016fvodn\u00ed p\u00edsmo m\u00ednojc\u016f zat\u00edm nebylo zcela rozlu\u0161t\u011bno. N\u011bkdy mezi lety 1470 a\u017e 1450 p\u0159. n. l. \u0159\u00ed\u0161e n\u00e1hle zanikla. Po p\u00e1du t\u00e9to civilizace, kter\u00e1 na Kr\u00e9t\u011b \u017eila p\u0159es 1500 let, se ostrova postupn\u011b zmoc\u0148ovaly jin\u00e9 kultury \u2013 myk\u00e9nsk\u00e1, d\u00f3rsk\u00e1. Vznik k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed v polovin\u011b 1. stolet\u00ed nebyla n\u00e1hoda. Prvn\u00edmi k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00fdmi poutn\u00edky byli \u017did\u00e9 z Kr\u00e9ty, kte\u0159\u00ed nav\u0161t\u00edvili, jak je uvedeno ve Skutc\u00edch apo\u0161tol\u016f (II, 11), Jeruzal\u00e9m o Letnic\u00edch v roce 33 a uv\u011b\u0159ili v nov\u00e9 u\u010den\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prvn\u00ed misie k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed na Kr\u00e9t\u011b je v\u0161ak spojena s apo\u0161tolem Pavlem, a hlavn\u011b s jeho \u017e\u00e1kem a spolupracovn\u00edkem apo\u0161tolem Titem, a proto je kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev pova\u017eov\u00e1na za jednu z nejstar\u0161\u00edch apo\u0161tolsk\u00fdch c\u00edrkv\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rok zalo\u017een\u00ed prvotn\u00ed c\u00edrkve na Kr\u00e9t\u011b apo\u0161tolem Pavlem pravd\u011bpodobn\u011b pat\u0159\u00ed do obdob\u00ed po jeho prvn\u00ed cest\u011b do \u0158\u00edma (62\u201363). V\u011bt\u0161ina historik\u016f-badatel\u016f umis\u0165uje jeho kr\u00e1tk\u00fd pobyt na Kr\u00e9t\u011b do t\u011bchto let. Podrobnosti o jeho \u010dinu jsou n\u00e1m zcela nezn\u00e1m\u00e9. Prakticky jedin\u00fdm zn\u00e1m\u00fdm zdrojem informac\u00ed je jeho List Titovi. Z ver\u0161e \u201eNechal jsem t\u011b na Kr\u00e9t\u011b, kv\u016fli tomu, abys uspo\u0159\u00e1dal, co je\u0161t\u011b chyb\u00ed, a abys ustanovil v ka\u017ed\u00e9m m\u011bst\u011b star\u0161\u00ed, jak jsem ti p\u0159ik\u00e1zal\u201c (Titus 1, 5), se zd\u00e1, \u017ee Pavel byl donucen jin\u00fdmi povinnostmi opustit Kr\u00e9tu p\u0159ed dokon\u010den\u00edm sv\u00e9ho d\u00edla, kter\u00fdm pov\u011b\u0159il Tita. Tradice klade p\u0159ist\u00e1n\u00ed apo\u0161tola Pavla do z\u00e1toky, nedaleko hory Kefali (Hlava). Z\u00e1toka Kali Limenes v poho\u0159\u00ed Asterousia, (ji\u017en\u011b nap\u0159\u00ed\u010d ostrovem od Heraklionu) byla prvn\u00ed zast\u00e1vkou apo\u0161tola Pavla, kde poprv\u00e9 vyu\u010doval k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed kolem roku 60, kdy\u017e m\u00ed\u0159il do \u0158\u00edma. \u00da\u010del, pro kter\u00fd byl Pavl\u016fv v\u011brn\u00fd u\u010dedn\u00edk Titus jmenov\u00e1n prvn\u00edm pastorem na Kr\u00e9t\u011b, je tak\u00e9 z\u0159ejm\u00fd. Jeho st\u00e1lou starost\u00ed byla systematick\u00e1 organizace nov\u011b zalo\u017een\u00e9 c\u00edrkve a mor\u00e1ln\u011b-n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fd rozvoj m\u00edstn\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9 spole\u010dnosti. Tato pr\u00e1ce za\u010dala v Gort\u00fdn\u011b, tehdej\u0161\u00edm spr\u00e1vn\u00edm hlavn\u00edm m\u011bst\u011b Kr\u00e9ty-Candie. Stala se tedy p\u0159irozen\u011b i c\u00edrkevn\u00ed metropol\u00ed. Zde tedy zalo\u017eil ap. Titus kr\u00e9tskou c\u00edrkev na pevn\u00fdch z\u00e1kladech a zajistil jej\u00ed dal\u0161\u00ed sm\u011b\u0159ov\u00e1n\u00ed. Jeho smrt je datov\u00e1na s mnoha v\u00fdhradami kolem roku 105. Na konci 2. stolet\u00ed jsou zmi\u0148ov\u00e1ni dva aktivn\u00ed biskupov\u00e9: Gortynsk\u00fd Filip a Knossossk\u00fd Pinytus, kte\u0159\u00ed br\u00e1nili a chr\u00e1nili k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed p\u0159ed herezemi t\u00e9 doby (gnosticismus, marcionismus atd.). Kr\u00e9ta byla d\u00edky sv\u00e9 geografick\u00e9 poloze ve St\u0159edomo\u0159\u00ed nezbytnou stanic\u00ed v plavb\u011b mezi v\u00fdchodem a z\u00e1padem a v\u017edy se pod\u00edlela na ob\u011bhu my\u0161lenek sv\u00e9 doby. Korespondence obou biskup\u016f se zn\u00e1m\u00fdm korintsk\u00fdm biskupem Dion\u00fdsiem ukazuje starost obou biskup\u016f o spr\u00e1vn\u00fd a plodn\u00fd \u017eivot kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>C\u00edsa\u0159 Decius zah\u00e1jil na konci roku 249 velk\u00e9 pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1n\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f. Na Kr\u00e9t\u011b se jeho ob\u011b\u0165mi stali svat\u00ed Desetipo\u010detn\u00edci (23. prosince), prvn\u00ed zn\u00e1m\u00ed mu\u010dedn\u00edci kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve, jejich\u017e \u010dest a pam\u00e1tka se na ostrov\u011b \u0161\u00ed\u0159ily od sam\u00e9ho po\u010d\u00e1tku. Jejich jm\u00e9na, jak je zachovala tradice spolu s\u00a0m\u011bsty, kde p\u016fsobili, jsou: Theodulos, Saturnios, Efporos, Gelasius a Evnikianos z Gortyny, Pompios z Leviny, Agathopus z PanormoMylopotamos, Vasileidis z Kydonie, Zotikos z Knossosu a Evarestos z Heraklionu. Kr\u00e9tsk\u00fd biskup Petr Nov\u00fd (16. \u010dervence), kter\u00fd pravd\u011bpodobn\u011b p\u016fsobil ve stejn\u00e9 dob\u011b, je tak\u00e9 zmi\u0148ov\u00e1n jako mu\u010dedn\u00edk. V polovin\u011b 4. stolet\u00ed bylo na Kr\u00e9t\u011b nejm\u00e9n\u011b \u0161est diec\u00e9z\u00ed, v\u010detn\u011b diec\u00e9ze Gort\u00fdna. Tato v\u00fdznamn\u00e1 zm\u011bna byla dokon\u010dena za vl\u00e1dy Theodosia Velik\u00e9ho (379\u2013395). Se zalo\u017een\u00edm k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed jako ofici\u00e1ln\u00edho n\u00e1bo\u017eenstv\u00ed st\u00e1tu v roce 380 je \u00fa\u010dinn\u00fdm z\u00e1kazem odstran\u011bno modl\u00e1\u0159stv\u00ed. Stejn\u00e9 obdob\u00ed \u2013 4. stolet\u00ed \u2013 v\u0161ak ozna\u010duje za\u010d\u00e1tek dlouh\u00e9ho obdob\u00ed intenzivn\u00edch a rozhodn\u00fdch boj\u016f proti herez\u00edm. Skrze tyto z\u00e1pasy ve velmi dlouh\u00e9m procesu k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed nakonec vytvo\u0159ilo svoje u\u010den\u00ed a definitivn\u00ed podobu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Od ran\u00e9ho byzantsk\u00e9ho obdob\u00ed (325\u2013535) tedy p\u0159evl\u00e1dalo na Kr\u00e9t\u011b k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed, jak ukazuje seznam 22 biskupstv\u00ed, kter\u00e1 jsou uvedena v \u201eNecdonu Ierocleous\u201c (Politick\u00e1 geografick\u00e1 gramatika Ierocleous, 528\u2013535). Proto\u017ee ve starov\u011bk\u00e9 c\u00edrkevn\u00ed tradici byla ka\u017edou m\u00edstn\u00ed c\u00edrkv\u00ed \u2013 samostatnou diec\u00e9z\u00ed, my\u0161lena ka\u017ed\u00e1 oblast nebo v\u00fdznamn\u00e9 m\u011bsto, kter\u00e9 mohlo shroma\u017e\u010fovat men\u0161\u00ed osady v oblasti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P\u0159i zav\u00e1d\u011bn\u00ed metropolitn\u00edho spr\u00e1vn\u00edho syst\u00e9mu Prvn\u00edm ekumenick\u00fdm sn\u011bmem (325) byla kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev organizov\u00e1na do samostatn\u00e9 metropole, s biskupem z Gort\u00fdny jako metropolitou, kter\u00e9mu byli pod\u0159\u00edzeni v\u0161ichni biskupov\u00e9 m\u00edstn\u00edch c\u00edrkv\u00ed Velk\u00e9ho ostrova. A\u017e do 4. stolet\u00ed byla kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev, stejn\u011b jako v\u0161echny m\u00edstn\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve, autokef\u00e1ln\u00ed. 5. stolet\u00ed bylo pro Kr\u00e9tu stolet\u00edm \u00fapln\u00e9ho nastolen\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed pro ve\u0161ker\u00e9 obyvatelstvo. Hmatateln\u00fdm p\u0159\u00edkladem jsou k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9 baziliky postaven\u00e9 z jednoho konce ostrova na druh\u00fd b\u011bhem tohoto a dal\u0161\u00edho stolet\u00ed. Po rozvoji c\u00edrkevn\u00ed organizace n\u00e1sledovala kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev osudy \u201espr\u00e1vy\u201c v\u00fdchodn\u00edho Illyrica, kterou si n\u00e1rokovaly c\u00edrkve v \u0158\u00edm\u011b a Konstantinopoli. Nakonec v\u00fdchodn\u00ed Illyricum a kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev z\u016fstaly c\u00edrkevn\u011b nez\u00e1visl\u00fdmi \u010d\u00e1stmi mezi ob\u011bma centry a\u017e do roku 535, kdy byly dekretem Justini\u00e1na I. (527\u2013565) a\u017e do roku 732 za\u010dlen\u011bny do duchovn\u00edho dohledu pape\u017esk\u00e9ho tr\u016fnu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev b\u011bhem prvn\u00edho byzantsk\u00e9ho obdob\u00ed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jak v ran\u00e9m byzantsk\u00e9m obdob\u00ed (325\u2013535), tak v obdob\u00ed podroben\u00ed Kr\u00e9ty duchovn\u00edmu dohledu pape\u017esk\u00e9ho tr\u016fnu (535\u2013732) se kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev aktivn\u011b pod\u00edlela na v\u0161ech hlavn\u00edch polemik\u00e1ch c\u00edrkve, jak ukazuje zastoupen\u00ed kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 metropole na ekumenick\u00fdch sn\u011bmech (III, IV, V, VI a VII). To n\u00e1zorn\u011b ukazuje, \u017ee ji\u017e v polovin\u011b 5. stolet\u00ed byla kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 pln\u011b rozvinut\u00e1. M\u011bla celkem dev\u011bt diec\u00e9z\u00ed pod\u0159\u00edzen\u00fdch arcidiec\u00e9zi Gortyna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Z\u00e1pisy koncil\u016f tak\u00e9 ukazuj\u00ed, \u017ee hierarchick\u00e9 postaven\u00ed kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve nez\u016fstalo nem\u011bnn\u00e9, ale bylo v\u017edy d\u016fle\u017eit\u00e9. Arcibiskup Kr\u00e9ty, jak byl nyn\u00ed naz\u00fdv\u00e1n primas kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve, je tedy zmi\u0148ov\u00e1n zpo\u010d\u00e1tku mezi 39. a 48. a pozd\u011bji mezi 9. a 14. m\u00edstem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vazby mezi Konstantinopol\u00ed a Kr\u00e9tou, navzdory form\u00e1ln\u00ed z\u00e1vislosti Kr\u00e9ty na \u0158\u00edmu, byly \u00fazk\u00e9. Tento vztah je jasn\u011b vid\u011bt v p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b Ond\u0159eje Jeruzal\u00e9msk\u00e9ho (Kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9ho), nejslavn\u011bj\u0161\u00edho hierarchy Kr\u00e9ty. (717\u2013741) se kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev definitivn\u011b dostala pod jurisdikci v\u00fdchodn\u00ed c\u00edrkve (732\/733). V t\u00e9 dob\u011b zapo\u010dalo obrazoborectv\u00ed (726\u2013843) a ot\u0159\u00e1salo Byzanc\u00ed asi sto let. Za vl\u00e1dy Konstantina V. (741\u2013775) doch\u00e1zelo k nejtvrd\u0161\u00edmu pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1n\u00ed obr\u00e1nc\u016f uct\u00edv\u00e1n\u00ed svat\u00fdch ikon nejen v hlavn\u00edm m\u011bst\u011b, ale i v provinci\u00edch. Kr\u00e9ta nez\u016fstala v tomto boji u\u0161et\u0159ena. Obr\u00e1nce ikon, mnich Pavel, byl popraven p\u0159ed rokem 767 guvern\u00e9rem Kr\u00e9ty Theofanem Lardotyrosem. Jin\u00ed Kr\u00e9\u0165an\u00e9, obr\u00e1nci ikon, tak\u00e9 trp\u011bli pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1n\u00edm nebo mu\u010dednickou smrt\u00ed mimo ostrov. Nejzn\u00e1m\u011bj\u0161\u00ed byl svat\u00fd Ond\u0159ej \u201eSouzen\u00fd\u201c, kter\u00fd byl umu\u010den v roce 767 v Konstantinopoli. B\u011bhem druh\u00e9ho obdob\u00ed obrazoborectv\u00ed byl jedn\u00edm z nejd\u016fle\u017eit\u011bj\u0161\u00edch obr\u00e1nc\u016f ikon Mikul\u00e1\u0161 Studitsk\u00fd, jeho\u017e rodi\u0161t\u011bm byla Kydonie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Celkov\u011b p\u0159edstavuje prvn\u00ed byzantsk\u00e9 obdob\u00ed (330\u2013824) slavnou \u00e9ru v kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkvi. Od 5. do prvn\u00ed poloviny 7. stolet\u00ed panoval na ostrov\u011b m\u00edr. Objevily se p\u0159edn\u00ed c\u00edrkevn\u00ed osobnosti, sv\u011btci, liter\u00e1ti, byly postaveny chr\u00e1my a k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed pro\u017e\u00edvalo plodn\u00e9 obdob\u00ed. Poho\u0159\u00ed Asturie bylo os\u00eddleno poustevn\u00edky a monachy. Stalo se centrem mni\u0161stv\u00ed a tradice noetick\u00e9 modlitby, dodnes naz\u00fdvan\u00fdm Svat\u00e1 hora Kr\u00e9ty. V tomto obdob\u00ed \u017eili svat\u00ed Eftychios a Eftychianos se sestrou Kassiani v oblasti kl\u00e1\u0161tera Odigitria v m\u00edst\u011b zvan\u00e9m \u201eAgios\u201c, tj. m\u00edsto svat\u00fdch. Svat\u00fd Eftichios byl biskupem v Gortyn\u011b a arcibiskupem na Kr\u00e9t\u011b. Proto\u017ee velice miloval hesychastick\u00fd \u017eivot, ode\u0161el do \u00fastran\u00ed (mo\u017en\u00e1 byl zbaven katedry) a praktikoval askezi a\u017e do konce sv\u00e9ho \u017eivota spole\u010dn\u011b se sv\u00fdm bratrem Eutychianem. Svat\u00fd Eutichianos byl prost\u00fd mnich a byl umu\u010den v Manarii (jak se dnes m\u00edsto naz\u00fdv\u00e1) mezi vesnic\u00ed Listaro a kl\u00e1\u0161terem Odigitria. Zde je sk\u00e1la, na kter\u00e9 byl umu\u010den, otiskla se na ni ruka sv\u011btce a sekera, vra\u017eedn\u00fd n\u00e1stroj. Sestra svat\u00fdch, Kassiani (nebo Eftychiani), \u017eila jako asketka v jeskyni na ho\u0159e Kefali, zn\u00e1m\u00e9 \u201ejeskyni Kassiani\u201c na mysu Lithino, na strm\u00e9m a nep\u0159\u00edstupn\u00e9m m\u00edst\u011b. O svat\u00e9 Kassiani a jej\u00ed jeskyni existuje mnoho legend a tradic v okol\u00ed. \u010cern\u00fdmi skvrnami t\u00e9to doby byla krize obrazoborectv\u00ed a pir\u00e1tsk\u00e9 n\u00e1jezdy sarac\u00e9n\u016f.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>C\u00edrkev na Kr\u00e9t\u011b b\u011bhem druh\u00e9ho byzantsk\u00e9ho obdob\u00ed a arabsk\u00e9 okupace<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Arabsk\u00fd vp\u00e1d roku 824 byl sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed vzep\u011bt\u00ed Arab\u016f, kte\u0159\u00ed obsadili okrajov\u00e1 \u00fazem\u00ed v\u00fdchodn\u00ed i z\u00e1padn\u00ed \u0158\u00edmsk\u00e9 \u0159\u00ed\u0161e. Dne\u0161n\u00ed Svatou zemi, Egypt, \u0160pan\u011blsko atd. Z tohoto obdob\u00ed se nezachovaly \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9 p\u00edsemn\u00e9 zpr\u00e1vy. Zem\u011b byla rozvr\u00e1cena. Jist\u011b nastupovalo muslimsk\u00e9 n\u00e1bo\u017eenstv\u00ed. P\u0159\u00edstavy na Kr\u00e9t\u011b se st\u00e1valy pevnostmi pir\u00e1t\u016f. Biskupstv\u00ed byla rozvr\u00e1cena, p\u0159edpokl\u00e1d\u00e1 se p\u016fsoben\u00ed peregr\u00edn\u016f-putuj\u00edc\u00edch biskup\u016f, kte\u0159\u00ed nem\u011bli pevnou katedru. Patrn\u011b podporovali a posilovali obyvatelstvo ve venkovsk\u00fdch a horsk\u00fdch oblastech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Byzanc se mnohokr\u00e1t pokusila z\u00edskat Kr\u00e9tu zp\u011bt. Nakonec se j\u00ed to poda\u0159ilo v b\u0159eznu 961 Nikeforem Fokou, pozd\u011bj\u0161\u00edm c\u00edsa\u0159em (963\u2013969). Znovuz\u00edsk\u00e1n\u00ed ostrova bylo v\u00fdchoz\u00edm bodem druh\u00e9ho byzantsk\u00e9ho obdob\u00ed (961\u20131204). Okam\u017eit\u011b byl \u0159e\u0161en probl\u00e9m n\u00e1vratu st\u00e1da do l\u016fna c\u00edrkve, stejn\u011b jako christianizace Arab\u016f, kte\u0159\u00ed z\u016fstali na Kr\u00e9t\u011b po jej\u00edm osvobozen\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nikiforos Focas, s\u00e1m hluboce v\u011b\u0159\u00edc\u00ed, \u0159e\u0161il tento probl\u00e9m brzy. Zat\u00edmco st\u00e1le obl\u00e9hal Candii, pozval svat\u00e9ho Atanasia Athosk\u00e9ho \u2013 sv\u00e9ho p\u0159\u00edtele a r\u00e1dce, kter\u00fd ho nav\u0161t\u00edvil v byzantsk\u00e9m t\u00e1bo\u0159e. Pot\u00e9 pos\u00edlal poselstv\u00ed do r\u016fzn\u00fdch kl\u00e1\u0161tern\u00edch center a vyz\u00fdval duchovn\u00ed, aby posiloval pravou v\u00edru. V t\u00e9 dob\u011b jsou nejzn\u00e1m\u011bj\u0161\u00edmi Kaj\u00edcn\u00edk Nikon a Jan Cizinec (Xenos).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>T\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 v\u0161ichni ostatn\u00ed duchovn\u00ed a hierarchov\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed \u017eili v tomto obdob\u00ed, jsou n\u00e1m zn\u00e1mi pouze jako jm\u00e9na. Existuj\u00ed v\u0161ak n\u00e1znaky, \u017ee n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fd, duchovn\u00ed a um\u011bleck\u00fd \u017eivot vykazoval pozoruhodn\u00fd r\u016fst, kter\u00fd se dostavoval postupn\u011b a v pr\u016fb\u011bhu \u010dasu, ve 12. stolet\u00ed, spolu s ekonomick\u00fdm r\u016fstem. Kr\u00e9ta m\u011bla rozvinut\u00fd n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fd, duchovn\u00ed a um\u011bleck\u00fd \u017eivot. Vedle jeskyn\u011b postavil sv\u016fj prvn\u00ed chr\u00e1m zasv\u011bcen\u00fd ob\u011bma svat\u00fdm. S\u00e1m hledaje a znaje s\u00edlu pou\u0161tn\u00edho \u017eivota, dok\u00e1zal vykon\u00e1vat misijn\u00ed pr\u00e1ci, putoval z Asterousie do z\u00e1padn\u00ed \u010d\u00e1sti Kr\u00e9ty (prefektura Rethymno a prefektura Chania) a zalo\u017eil 8 kl\u00e1\u0161tern\u00edch komplex\u016f a mnoho chr\u00e1m\u016f. Do kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f uvedl mnichy a p\u0159\u00edkladn\u011b organizoval jejich \u017eivoty. P\u0159ed koncem sv\u00e9ho \u017eivota sepsal svou v\u016fli, kter\u00e1 n\u00e1m poskytuje mnoho informac\u00ed o jeho pr\u00e1ci a jeho \u017eivot\u011b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Svat\u00fd Jan Xenos, jak byl naz\u00fdv\u00e1n, spojil modlitbu a soci\u00e1ln\u00ed \u010dinnost, zaj\u00edmal se v\u017edy o probl\u00e9my v m\u00edst\u011b sv\u00e9ho pobytu, stav\u011bl n\u00e1dr\u017ee na vodu, u\u010dil spr\u00e1vn\u00e9mu obd\u011bl\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed p\u016fdy, v\u010dela\u0159stv\u00ed a z\u00e1rove\u0148 se staral o duchovn\u00ed kultivaci sv\u00fdch bli\u017en\u00edch. S\u00eddlem metropole byla p\u016fvodn\u011b op\u011bt Gort\u00fdna, ale brzy se p\u0159est\u011bhovala do Candie (dne\u0161n\u00ed Heraklion), kde z\u016fstala dodnes. Zm\u011bna s\u00eddla diec\u00e9ze byla zp\u016fsobena \u00fapadkem Gort\u00fdny, z m\u011bsta zbyli do dne\u0161n\u00edch dn\u00ed rozs\u00e1hl\u00e9 rozvaliny nach\u00e1zej\u00edc\u00ed se na n\u011bkolika kilometrech \u010dtvere\u010dn\u00edch. V\u00e9vod\u00ed jim poz\u016fstatky katedr\u00e1ly svat\u00e9ho Tita, ve sv\u00e9 dob\u011b mohutn\u00e9 stavb\u011b, amfite\u00e1tr a f\u00f3rum, kde je vytes\u00e1n tzv. Gortynsk\u00fd z\u00e1kon\u00edk. Nejstar\u0161\u00ed kodex pr\u00e1va zapsan\u00fd na evropsk\u00e9m kontinentu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obecn\u011b vzato, n\u00e1vrat Kr\u00e9ty do Byzance p\u0159inesl nov\u00fd v\u00edtr prosperity a kulturn\u00edho povznesen\u00ed, navzdory pomal\u00e9mu tempu jej\u00ed integrace do hierarchie c\u00edrkv\u00ed patriarch\u00e1tu. Zm\u011bny byly poci\u0165ov\u00e1ny ve v\u0161ech oblastech, v n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9m \u017eivot\u011b, p\u0159i stavb\u011b kostel\u016f, v um\u011bn\u00ed, v kl\u00e1\u0161tern\u00edch instituc\u00edch. Od 12. stolet\u00ed m\u00e1 Kr\u00e9ta n\u00e1dhern\u00e9 freskov\u00e9 chr\u00e1my. Zd\u00e1 se, \u017ee kr\u00e9t\u0161t\u00ed um\u011blci byli schopni sledovat um\u011bleck\u00e9 trendy Byzance velmi rychle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>C\u00edrkev na Kr\u00e9t\u011b za Ben\u00e1t\u010dan\u016f<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ji\u017e v p\u0159edve\u010der \u010dtvrt\u00e9 k\u0159\u00ed\u017eov\u00e9 v\u00fdpravy (1203) p\u0159estala Kr\u00e9ta pat\u0159it k byzantsk\u00e9mu \u00fazem\u00ed. Alexios Angelos si posp\u00ed\u0161il p\u0159edat Kr\u00e9tu Bonif\u00e1covi z Montferratu, aby dos\u00e1hl n\u00e1vratu sv\u00e9ho otce na tr\u016fn v Konstantinopoli. Po p\u00e1du Konstantinopole (1204) ud\u011blili k\u0159i\u017e\u00e1ci Bonif\u00e1covi pr\u00e1vo obsadit ostrov. Janovsk\u00fd pir\u00e1t Jind\u0159ich Pescatore, odp\u016frce Ben\u00e1t\u010dan\u016f, v\u0161ak dok\u00e1zal v roce 1206 obsadit a dob\u00fdt velkou \u010d\u00e1st st\u0159edn\u00ed Kr\u00e9ty. N\u00e1sledovaly tvrd\u00e9 boje mezi Ben\u00e1t\u010dany a Janovany, dokud se Ben\u00e1t\u010dan\u016fm nepoda\u0159ilo zv\u00edt\u011bzit (1211) a ovl\u00e1dnout ostrov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dlouh\u00e9 obdob\u00ed ben\u00e1tsk\u00e9 nadvl\u00e1dy (1204\/1211\u20131645\/1669) bylo pro kr\u00e9tskou c\u00edrkev obzvl\u00e1\u0161t\u011b krut\u00e9. Nov\u00ed dobyvatel\u00e9 od po\u010d\u00e1tku usilovali o trvalou okupaci a vyko\u0159is\u0165ov\u00e1n\u00ed Kr\u00e9ty, jakmile si uv\u011bdomili, \u017ee pravoslavn\u00e1 c\u00edrkev je velkou sjednocuj\u00edc\u00ed silou lidu, podporuj\u00edc\u00ed byzantsk\u00e9 my\u0161lenky, nositelem odporu proti latin\u00edk\u016fm, a proto je jejich nejsiln\u011bj\u0161\u00edm a nejnebezpe\u010dn\u011bj\u0161\u00edm protivn\u00edkem, p\u0159ijali p\u0159\u00edsn\u00e1 opat\u0159en\u00ed. Ta omezila duchovn\u00ed svobodu Kr\u00e9\u0165an\u016f. Zru\u0161ili a odstranili pravoslavn\u00e9 biskupy. Mikul\u00e1\u0161, posledn\u00ed primas kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve, mu\u017e \u010destn\u00fd a vzd\u011blan\u00fd, uprchl na Nikajsk\u00fd dv\u016fr a p\u0159edsedal metropoli Smyrn\u011b, kter\u00e1 mu byla d\u00e1na jako rezidence. Byla zak\u00e1z\u00e1na kn\u011b\u017esk\u00e1 sv\u011bcen\u00ed. Ti Kr\u00e9\u0165an\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed se cht\u011bli st\u00e1t duchovn\u00edmi, museli nejprve z\u00edskat povolen\u00ed ben\u00e1tsk\u00fdch \u00fa\u0159ad\u016f ostrova a zaplatit zna\u010dn\u00e9 finan\u010dn\u00ed \u010d\u00e1stky. Pot\u00e9 cestovat na Pelopon\u00e9s nebo do Mal\u00e9 Asie, kde by na\u0161li pravoslavn\u00e9ho archijereje, kter\u00fd by je vysv\u011btil. Ben\u00e1t\u010dan\u00e9 p\u0159ipravili pravoslavnou c\u00edrkev o jej\u00ed majetek. Na m\u00edsta pravoslavn\u00fdch biskup\u016f dosadili latin\u00edky a do velk\u00fdch m\u011bst a provin\u010dn\u00edch center jmenovali jako p\u0159edstaven\u00e9 pravoslavn\u00e9ho duchovenstva protopape\u017ee a protopsalty. Tito p\u0159edstaven\u00ed byli osoby absolutn\u011b loaj\u00e1ln\u00ed k Ben\u00e1t\u010dan\u016fm, zam\u011bstnanci placen\u00ed st\u00e1tem, ke kter\u00e9mu se hl\u00e1sili. C\u00edlem Ben\u00e1t\u010dan\u016f byla \u00fapln\u00e1 dezorganizace kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kr\u00e9\u0165an\u00e9 se s touto politikou nikdy nesm\u00ed\u0159ili. Vzdorovali a rozhodn\u011b bojovali proti ben\u00e1tsk\u00e9 nadvl\u00e1d\u011b. Ekumenick\u00fd patriarch\u00e1t usiluj\u00edc\u00ed o unii s \u0158\u00edmem nebyl v t\u00e9 dob\u011b nejpevn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed oporou. Vztahy s \u0159\u00edmsk\u00fdmi katol\u00edky a snaha o sjednocen\u00ed c\u00edrkv\u00ed byly nejpal\u010div\u011bj\u0161\u00edmi probl\u00e9my. Kr\u00e9\u0165an\u00e9 zach\u00e1zeli s opovr\u017een\u00edm s p\u0159edstaviteli pape\u017esk\u00e9 unit\u00e1\u0159sk\u00e9 politiky. P\u0159esto ale st\u00e1le s d\u016fv\u011brou vzhl\u00ed\u017eeli ke Konstantinopoli c\u00edt\u00edce, \u017ee zachov\u00e1vaj\u00ed sv\u00e9 kulturn\u00ed a n\u00e1rodn\u00ed d\u011bdictv\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bezprost\u0159edn\u011b po p\u00e1du Konstantinopole (1453) dorazilo na Kr\u00e9tu mnoho uprchl\u00edk\u016f, \u0161lechtic\u016f, u\u010denc\u016f a duchovn\u00edch, v Ben\u00e1t\u010danech vzbuzovali obavy a strach, \u017ee podn\u00edt\u00ed osvobozeneck\u00e9 touhy Kr\u00e9\u0165an\u016f. Obavy Ben\u00e1tek nebyly ani p\u0159ehnan\u00e9, ani neopodstatn\u011bn\u00e9, soud\u011b podle revolu\u010dn\u00edho hnut\u00ed Sifis Vlastos, (dle jm\u00e9na v\u016fdce) krvav\u011b potla\u010den\u00e9ho, kter\u00e9 vypuklo na ostrov\u011b kr\u00e1tce po p\u00e1du Konstantinopole v roce 1453. A toto povst\u00e1n\u00ed nebylo v t\u00e9 dob\u011b ojedin\u011bl\u00fdm jevem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vytrvalost Kr\u00e9\u0165an\u016f st\u00e1t na sv\u00fdch pozic\u00edch donutila Ben\u00e1t\u010dany zm\u00edrnit svou tvrdou n\u00e1bo\u017eenskou politiku, kter\u00e1 se stala mnohem m\u00edrn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed v posledn\u00edch 150 letech jejich nadvl\u00e1dy nad ostrovem. Tento postoj byl jist\u011b ovlivn\u011bn tureckou hrozbou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vesnice a provin\u010dn\u00ed m\u011bste\u010dka v horsk\u00e9m ter\u00e9nu ostrova nebyly nikdy pln\u011b podman\u011bny a \u017eily sv\u00fdm zp\u016fsobem \u017eivota. Navzdory ben\u00e1tsk\u00e9 okupaci p\u0159e\u017eilo mnoho kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f z druh\u00e9ho byzantsk\u00e9ho obdob\u00ed a byly zalo\u017eeny nov\u00e9, zejm\u00e9na b\u011bhem posledn\u00edch 150 let ben\u00e1tsk\u00e9 nadvl\u00e1dy. Ve freskov\u00fdch kostelech a kl\u00e1\u0161tern\u00edch katolikonech jsou zachov\u00e1na jm\u00e9na byzantsk\u00fdch c\u00edsa\u0159\u016f jako don\u00e1tor\u016f z let 1291 a\u017e 1446, co\u017e nazna\u010duje trvalou oddanost Kr\u00e9\u0165an\u016f Konstantinopoli, ale tak\u00e9 z\u00e1jem Byzance o Kr\u00e9tu. Od poloviny 15. stolet\u00ed byla vytvo\u0159ena zvl\u00e1\u0161tn\u00ed um\u011bleck\u00e1 tradice, kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 post-byzantsk\u00e1 \u0161kola, kter\u00e1 dominovala a\u017e do konce ben\u00e1tsk\u00e9 nadvl\u00e1dy a p\u0159e\u017eila v drsn\u00fdch podm\u00ednk\u00e1ch zp\u016fsoben\u00fdch tureck\u00fdm dob\u00fdv\u00e1n\u00edm. Od t\u00e9to doby se n\u00e1st\u011bnn\u00e9 malby zcela zastavuj\u00ed a vyr\u00e1b\u011bj\u00ed se pouze p\u0159enosn\u00e9 ikony. Um\u011bleck\u00e9 d\u00edlny na Kr\u00e9t\u011b, zejm\u00e9na v Candii, byly organizov\u00e1ny od 16. stolet\u00ed do cech\u016f, \u010dasto rodinn\u00fdch, a za\u010daly vyv\u00e1\u017eet svou produkci do cel\u00e9ho pravoslavn\u00e9ho sv\u011bta. Ikony kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 \u0161koly dnes najdeme na ostrovech v Egejsk\u00e9m mo\u0159i, v At\u00e9n\u00e1ch, v Makedonii, na J\u00f3nsk\u00fdch ostrovech, ale tak\u00e9 na Balk\u00e1n\u011b, v Ben\u00e1tk\u00e1ch a v Rusku. Kompetentn\u00ed reprezentativn\u00ed vzorky jsou vystaveny v Historick\u00e9m muzeu na Kr\u00e9t\u011b, ve star\u00e9m kostele svat\u00e9 Kate\u0159iny v Heraklionu, v nov\u00e9 sb\u00edrce byzantsk\u00fdch a post-byzantsk\u00fdch poklad\u016f Chanie a v katolikonech nebo c\u00edrkevn\u00edch muze\u00edch v\u011bt\u0161iny kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f. Fakt, \u017ee z\u00e1zra\u010dn\u00fd vrchol, kter\u00fd za\u017eila kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 literatura a um\u011bn\u00ed b\u011bhem ben\u00e1tsk\u00e9 okupace, se odehr\u00e1l v r\u00e1mci ciz\u00ed nadvl\u00e1dy a \u00fatlaku, dokazuje um\u011bn\u00ed lidu vyu\u017e\u00edt v\u0161ech mo\u017enost\u00ed k nalezen\u00ed nov\u00fdch cest duchovn\u00ed tvorby, a to v\u017edy v r\u00e1mci sv\u00e9 vlastn\u00ed odli\u0161n\u00e9 historick\u00e9 podstaty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P\u0159\u00ednos Kr\u00e9ty pro p\u00edsemnictv\u00ed a um\u011bn\u00ed b\u011bhem posledn\u00edch dvou stolet\u00ed ben\u00e1tsk\u00e9 vl\u00e1dy (1453\u20131669) byl jedine\u010dn\u00fd. V\u00fdznamn\u00ed kr\u00e9t\u0161t\u00ed u\u010denci, duchovenstvo a um\u011blci, kte\u0159\u00ed byli aktivn\u00ed b\u011bhem tohoto obdob\u00ed na V\u00fdchod\u011b i na Z\u00e1pad\u011b, vytvo\u0159ili d\u00edla, kter\u00e1 jsou nad\u010dasov\u00e1 a v\u011b\u010dn\u00e1. (Domenikos Theotok\u00f3poulos \u2013 El Greco, Theofanis Strelitzas \u2013 zn\u00e1m\u00fd jako Theofan-Kr\u00e9tsk\u00fd, Michael Damaskenos, Georgios Klontzas, Angelos Akotanos, Andreas Ritzos, \u010dlenov\u00e9 rodiny Lambardos a jin\u00ed).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>C\u00edrkev na Kr\u00e9t\u011b za vl\u00e1dy Osman\u016f<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obdob\u00ed osmansk\u00e9 nadvl\u00e1dy (1645\/1669\u20131898) tento kurz p\u0159eru\u0161ilo, bez ohledu na to, jak moc Turci alespo\u0148 zpo\u010d\u00e1tku d\u00e1vali najevo, \u017ee maj\u00ed jin\u00e9 \u00famysly. Ve snaze ovlivnit pravoslavn\u00e9 Kr\u00e9\u0165any psychologicky, v souladu se zaveden\u00fdm principem sult\u00e1n\u016f, politikou n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9 tolerance, okam\u017eit\u011b p\u0159istoupili k obnoven\u00ed pravoslavn\u00e9 metropole a obnoven\u00ed c\u00edrkevn\u00ed hierarchie na Kr\u00e9t\u011b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Neophytos Patellaros, u\u010den\u00fd mnich kl\u00e1\u0161tera Arkadi a p\u0159\u00edbuzn\u00fd ekumenick\u00e9ho patriarchy Athanasia III Patellarose, byl vysv\u011bcen v roce 1647 na prvn\u00edho pravoslavn\u00e9ho metropolitu Kr\u00e9ty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obnoven\u00ed pravoslavn\u00e9 hierarchie na Kr\u00e9t\u011b bylo doprov\u00e1zeno duchovn\u00edmi, spr\u00e1vn\u00edmi, soudn\u00edmi a finan\u010dn\u00edmi privilegii, ud\u011blovan\u00fdmi podle tureck\u00e9 tradice pravoslavn\u00fdm archijerej\u016fm. To v\u0161ak jani\u010d\u00e1\u0159\u016fm (elitn\u00edm vojensk\u00fdm osmansk\u00fdm jednotk\u00e1m) nezabr\u00e1nilo v\u00a0n\u00e1sil\u00ed, a dokonce i zab\u00edjen\u00ed kn\u011b\u017e\u00ed. Vra\u017eda biskupa z Lambie Methodia Siligardose (1793) jani\u010d\u00e1\u0159i v jeho s\u00eddle je historii dob\u0159e zn\u00e1m\u00e1. Vysoc\u00ed kn\u011b\u017e\u00ed a dal\u0161\u00ed duchovenstvo obvykle kupovali sv\u00e9 jistoty \u010d\u00e1stkami pen\u011bz a dary, kter\u00e9 jim nenasytn\u00e1 tureck\u00e1 chamtivost implicitn\u011b, nebo dokonce otev\u0159en\u011b vnucovala. Dan\u011b, kter\u00e9 uvalili na k\u0159es\u0165any, byly p\u0159emr\u0161t\u011bn\u00e9 a utla\u010duj\u00edc\u00ed. Vztahy kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve s ekumenick\u00fdm patriarch\u00e1tem zpo\u010d\u00e1tku pro\u0161ly velkou kriz\u00ed, ze kter\u00e9 se radovali m\u00edstn\u00ed muslimov\u00e9. Patriarch\u00e1tu se poda\u0159ilo zm\u011bnit sult\u00e1novu politiku a zabr\u00e1nit prohl\u00e1\u0161en\u00ed kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve za autokef\u00e1ln\u00ed. Za vl\u00e1dy kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9ho metropolity Gerasima Letitzise (1725\u20131756) byly obnoveny vztahy s patriarch\u00e1tem. Kr\u00e9ta z\u016fstala pod spr\u00e1vn\u00ed jurisdikc\u00ed ekumenick\u00e9ho patriarch\u00e1tu. Byly tak\u00e9 vyd\u00e1ny ochrann\u00e9 fermany pro svobodu zaveden\u00fdch sv\u00e1tk\u016f a jejich ritu\u00e1l\u016f. V praxi to v\u0161ak bylo \u00fapln\u011b jin\u00e9 a mnohem t\u011b\u017e\u0161\u00ed. Marinos Tzanes Bounialis ji\u017e v dramatick\u00fdch ver\u0161\u00edch popsal vandalismus proti pravoslavn\u00fdm kostel\u016fm. B\u011bhem kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 v\u00e1lky (1645\u20131669) kl\u00e1\u0161tery na Kr\u00e9t\u011b trp\u011bly rabov\u00e1n\u00edm a ni\u010den\u00edm, zejm\u00e9na ty, kter\u00e9 vzdorovaly Turk\u016fm. Ikony, posv\u00e1tn\u00e9 n\u00e1doby, roucha, knihy a rukopisy byly zni\u010deny. Po p\u00e1du Candie (1669) a upevn\u011bn\u00ed tureck\u00e9 okupace na Kr\u00e9t\u011b byly kl\u00e1\u0161tery, kter\u00e9 existovaly v m\u011bstsk\u00fdch centrech, zni\u010deny nebo p\u0159em\u011bn\u011bny na me\u0161ity, madrasy a kas\u00e1rna. Z mnoha stovek kr\u00e9tsk\u00fdch kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f, kter\u00e9 zn\u00e1me z posledn\u00edho obdob\u00ed ben\u00e1tsk\u00e9 nadvl\u00e1dy, jen velmi m\u00e1lo p\u0159e\u017eilo a bylo aktivn\u011b zachov\u00e1no.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Svat\u00fd z\u00e1kon muslim\u016f zakazoval zakl\u00e1d\u00e1n\u00ed nov\u00fdch kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f a chr\u00e1m\u016f. I pro opravy a \u00fadr\u017ebu star\u00fdch bylo nutn\u00e9 z\u00edskat zvl\u00e1\u0161tn\u00ed povolen\u00ed, kter\u00e9 obvykle st\u00e1lo mnohon\u00e1sobn\u011b v\u00edce, ne\u017e byla vlastn\u00ed oprava. V t\u011bchto t\u011b\u017ek\u00fdch \u010dasech tak p\u0159e\u017eilo jen m\u00e1lo kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f a byly to hlavn\u011b ty velk\u00e9 a bohat\u00e9, kter\u00e9 mohly platit vysok\u00e9 dan\u011b a zvl\u00e1\u0161tn\u00ed p\u0159\u00edsp\u011bvky, stejn\u011b jako bohat\u00e9 dary tureck\u00fdm \u00fa\u0159edn\u00edk\u016fm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ekumenick\u00fd patriarch\u00e1t si posp\u00ed\u0161il, aby pod svou ochranu um\u00edstil mnoho kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f, vyu\u017eil sv\u00fdch privilegi\u00ed a prohl\u00e1sil je za stavropigi\u00e1ln\u00ed. Metropolita Neophytos Patellaros podnikl podobn\u00e9 kroky ji\u017e v roce 1654 a ud\u011blil ekumenick\u00e9mu patriarch\u00e1tu n\u011bkter\u00e9 bohat\u00e9 kl\u00e1\u0161tery, jako Arkadi, Arsani atd. Mni\u0161stv\u00ed si tak zachovalo sv\u016fj v\u00fdznam pro duchovn\u00ed \u017eivot Kr\u00e9ty, jak se rozvinulo b\u011bhem ben\u00e1tsk\u00e9 okupace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Duchovn\u00ed tradice kr\u00e9tsk\u00fdch kn\u011b\u017e\u00ed povznesen\u00e1 v posledn\u00edch letech ben\u00e1tsk\u00e9 nadvl\u00e1dy n\u00e1hle a definitivn\u011b zanikla tureckou okupac\u00ed. Teprve na p\u0159elomu 18. a 19. stolet\u00ed jsme na Kr\u00e9t\u011b na\u0161li u\u010den\u00e9 duchovenstvo, jako byl seminarista \u0158eho\u0159 Megalovrysanos, Neophytos Economu aj. Nedostatek vzd\u011bl\u00e1n\u00ed v t\u011bchto t\u011b\u017ek\u00fdch \u010dasech byl v\u0161ak kompenzov\u00e1n \u00e9tosem duchovenstva a mnich\u016f, kte\u0159\u00ed si zachovali v\u00edru, n\u00e1rodn\u00ed v\u011bdom\u00ed s \u010distotou sv\u00e9ho \u017eivota.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u011bkolik hierarch\u016f a dal\u0161\u00edch duchovn\u00edch bylo zasv\u011bceno do Spole\u010dnosti p\u0159\u00e1tel. (Tajn\u00e1 organizace pracuj\u00edc\u00ed po\u010d\u00e1tkem 19. stolet\u00ed na svr\u017een\u00ed osmansk\u00e9 spr\u00e1vy v \u0158ecku a vytvo\u0159en\u00ed samostatn\u00e9ho \u0159eck\u00e9ho st\u00e1tu. \u010cleny tohoto sdru\u017een\u00ed byli hlavn\u011b mlad\u00ed fanariot\u0161t\u00ed \u0158ekov\u00e9 z Ruska a lidov\u00ed n\u00e1\u010deln\u00edci z tehdej\u0161\u00edho \u0158ecka. Jedn\u00edm z v\u016fdc\u016f organizace byl i Alexandros Ypsilantis.) Po vypuknut\u00ed revoluce v roce 1821 na Kr\u00e9t\u011b se duchovenstvo stalo prvn\u00edmi ob\u011b\u0165mi tureck\u00fdch repres\u00e1li\u00ed. Ti, kte\u0159\u00ed p\u0159e\u017eili, slou\u017eili v\u011bci svobody a byli vyznamen\u00e1ni za sv\u00e9 hrdinstv\u00ed. Kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev slou\u017eila boji materi\u00e1ln\u00ed i duchovn\u00ed pomoc\u00ed. Podobn\u00fd byl p\u0159\u00edsp\u011bvek c\u00edrkve a duchovenstva i k n\u00e1sledn\u00fdm revoluc\u00edm. Drama historick\u00e9ho kl\u00e1\u0161tera Arkadi ukazuje m\u00edru t\u00e9to ob\u011bti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kl\u00e1\u0161ter hr\u00e1l aktivn\u00ed roli v kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9m odporu proti osmansk\u00e9 vl\u00e1d\u011b b\u011bhem kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9ho povst\u00e1n\u00ed v roce 1866. 943 \u0158ek\u016f, v\u011bt\u0161inou \u017een a d\u011bt\u00ed, hledalo \u00fato\u010di\u0161t\u011b v kl\u00e1\u0161te\u0159e. Po t\u0159ech dnech bitvy a na rozkaz opata kl\u00e1\u0161tera Kr\u00e9\u0165an\u00e9 vyhodili do pov\u011bt\u0159\u00ed sudy st\u0159eln\u00e9ho prachu a rad\u011bji se ob\u011btovali, ne\u017e aby se vzdali.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kl\u00e1\u0161ter se stal n\u00e1rodn\u00ed svatyn\u00ed na po\u010dest kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9ho odporu. 8. listopad je v Arkadi a Rethymnu dnem vzpom\u00ednkov\u00fdch bohoslu\u017eeb. V\u00fdbuch neukon\u010dil kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 povst\u00e1n\u00ed, ale p\u0159it\u00e1hl pozornost zbytku sv\u011bta. Z 964 lid\u00ed p\u0159\u00edtomn\u00fdch na za\u010d\u00e1tku \u00fatoku bylo 846 zabito v boji nebo v okam\u017eiku v\u00fdbuchu. 114 mu\u017e\u016f a \u017een bylo zajato. Jako \u00factyhodn\u00fd fakt p\u016fsob\u00ed skute\u010dnost, \u017ee mezi osmansk\u00fdmi voj\u00e1ky byla na kopc\u00edch p\u0159ed kl\u00e1\u0161terem nalezena skupina koptsk\u00fdch Egyp\u0165an\u016f. Tito k\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9 odm\u00edtli zab\u00edjet jin\u00e9 k\u0159es\u0165any. Dne 30. b\u0159ezna 1856 Pa\u0159\u00ed\u017esk\u00e1 smlouva sult\u00e1na zav\u00e1zala k uplat\u0148ov\u00e1n\u00ed z\u00e1kona Hatti-Houmayoun, kter\u00fd k\u0159es\u0165an\u016fm a muslim\u016fm zaru\u010doval ob\u010danskou a n\u00e1bo\u017eenskou rovnost, roz\u0161\u00ed\u0159enou z\u00e1konem (1868) a Alepskou \u00famluvou (1878). Svat\u00fd z\u00e1kon muslim\u016f zakazuj\u00edc\u00ed zakl\u00e1d\u00e1n\u00ed nov\u00fdch chr\u00e1m\u016f byl zru\u0161en. 25. b\u0159ezna 1862 byl zalo\u017een velk\u00fd kostel Agios Minas v Heraklionu, kter\u00fd byl slavnostn\u011b otev\u0159en 16. dubna 1895. Nov\u00fd v\u00fdvoj n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fdch a politick\u00fdch pom\u011br\u016f na Kr\u00e9t\u011b p\u0159im\u011bl mnoho tajn\u00fdch k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f otev\u0159en\u011b vyznat svou v\u00edru a vr\u00e1tit se ke sv\u00e9mu n\u00e1bo\u017eenstv\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zat\u00edmco kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev nemusela v prvn\u00edm obdob\u00ed osmansk\u00e9 nadvl\u00e1dy \u010delit v\u011brou\u010dn\u00fdm probl\u00e9m\u016fm, v polovin\u011b 19. stolet\u00ed byla dvakr\u00e1t \u0161okov\u00e1na \u010dinnost\u00ed luthero-kalvinist\u016f a pozd\u011bji katolickou propagandou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Po revoluci v letech 1866\u20131869 a obnoven\u00ed vnit\u0159n\u00edho m\u00edru na ostrov\u011b p\u0159istoupila kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev k vyd\u00e1n\u00ed z\u00e1kona \u201eOrganizace svat\u00fdch kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f na Kr\u00e9t\u011b, stavropigi\u00ed a farnosti\u201c (1870) schv\u00e1len\u00e9ho tureck\u00fdmi vl\u00e1dci. Tato listina p\u0159ijala z\u00e1vazek z\u0159\u00eddit \u0161koly z p\u0159\u00edjmu kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Od poloviny 19. stolet\u00ed m\u011blo kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 duchovenstvo mo\u017enost studovat na \u0161kol\u00e1ch vy\u0161\u0161\u00edho teologick\u00e9ho vzd\u011bl\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed (At\u00e9ny, Jeruzal\u00e9m, Chalki atd.). Od roku 1870 jsou v\u0161ichni biskupov\u00e9 na Kr\u00e9t\u011b Kr\u00e9\u0165an\u00e9. Posledn\u00edm metropolitou tureck\u00e9 okupace byl Timotheos I. Kastrinogiannakis (1870\u20131898). Po jeho smrti zvolil ekumenick\u00fd patriarch\u00e1t Eumenia Xiroudakise, biskupa z Lambi a Sfakie, nov\u00fdm metropolitou Kr\u00e9ty, ale revolu\u010dn\u00ed vl\u00e1da ho odm\u00edtla uznat.&nbsp; Nastal\u00e9 nejasnosti a pr\u00e1vn\u00ed komplikace pom\u00e1hal \u0159e\u0161it i i\u00f3nsk\u00fd pr\u00e1vn\u00edk Ioannis Skaltsounis a poradce pro spravedlnost (budouc\u00ed premi\u00e9r \u0158ecka) Eleftherios Venizelos. Z\u00e1kon tehdy cht\u011bl, aby po\u010det kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f s v\u00edce ne\u017e 50 mnichy byl omezen na polovinu. Zbytek byl pova\u017eov\u00e1n za insolventn\u00ed. D\u00e1le pak, kde byl po\u010det mnich\u016f men\u0161\u00ed ne\u017e \u0161est osob, byli kl\u00e1\u0161tery okam\u017eit\u011b rozpu\u0161t\u011bny. Pokud by realizace v\u00fd\u0161e uveden\u00e9ho z\u00e1kona byla kone\u010dn\u00e1, p\u0159e\u017eilo by na cel\u00e9 Kr\u00e9t\u011b pouze dev\u011bt kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f. Nicm\u00e9n\u011b podle nov\u011bj\u0161\u00edho z\u00e1kona kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9ho st\u00e1tu 553 ze 17. \u010dervence 1903 byly v\u0161echny kl\u00e1\u0161tery, kter\u00e9 m\u011bly nejm\u00e9n\u011b \u0161est mnich\u016f, rekonstituov\u00e1ny jako nez\u00e1visl\u00e9 a jako jejich pobo\u010dky ty, kter\u00e9 m\u011bly mnich\u016f m\u00e9n\u011b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Administrativn\u00ed organizace c\u00edrkve na Kr\u00e9t\u011b si zachovala typ metropolitn\u00edho syst\u00e9mu. Charta, kter\u00e1 definovala r\u00e1mec relativn\u00ed autonomie, byla p\u0159ijata ekumenick\u00fdm patriarch\u00e1tem a vysok\u00fdm komisa\u0159em ostrova. Metropolita a biskupov\u00e9 vytvo\u0159ili provin\u010dn\u00ed synodu, kter\u00e1 se sch\u00e1zela pravideln\u011b jednou ro\u010dn\u011b a mimo\u0159\u00e1dn\u011b v p\u0159\u00edpad\u011b v\u00e1\u017en\u00e9 pot\u0159eby. Zased\u00e1n\u00ed se \u00fa\u010dastnil nehlasuj\u00edc\u00ed vl\u00e1dn\u00ed komisa\u0159. Biskupov\u00e9 Kr\u00e9ty byli voleni provin\u010dn\u00edm synodem, kter\u00fd zvolil v\u0161echny t\u0159i kandid\u00e1ty na metropolitn\u00ed tr\u016fn, z nich\u017e ekumenick\u00fd patriarch\u00e1t vybral jednoho za metropolitu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Po sjednocen\u00ed s \u0158eckem<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Charta platila i po sjednocen\u00ed Kr\u00e9ty s \u0158eckem (1913) a tvo\u0159ila z\u00e1klad polo-autonomn\u00edho spr\u00e1vn\u00edho re\u017eimu kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V obdob\u00ed druh\u00e9 sv\u011btov\u00e9 v\u00e1lky pro\u0161la Kr\u00e9ta dal\u0161\u00edm martyriem v podob\u011b okupace ostrova n\u011bmeck\u00fdmi vojsky. Jednalo se o nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed leteck\u00fd v\u00fdsadek v d\u011bjin\u00e1ch v\u00e1le\u010dnictv\u00ed. P\u0159es odpor spojeneck\u00fdch vojsk a za pomoci dom\u00e1c\u00edho obyvatelstva za velk\u00fdch ztr\u00e1t n\u011bme\u010dt\u00ed v\u00fdsadk\u00e1\u0159i ostrov dobyli. N\u00e1sledn\u00e1 pomoc p\u0159i evakuaci spojeneck\u00fdch vojsk do Libye a pomoc v partyz\u00e1nsk\u00e9m boji je sv\u011btlou str\u00e1nkou v\u0161ech kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f, mnich\u016f i c\u00edrkve obecn\u011b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do \u0161edes\u00e1t\u00fdch let 20. stolet\u00ed prob\u011bhlo je\u0161t\u011b n\u011bkolik c\u00edrkevn\u00edch kriz\u00ed mezi \u0158eck\u00fdm st\u00e1tem, kr\u00e9tsk\u00fdm synodem a konstantinopolsk\u00fdm patriarch\u00e1tem. Nov\u00e1 charta kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve je p\u0159izp\u016fsobena modern\u00edm po\u017eadavk\u016fm. Vztah mezi kr\u00e9tskou c\u00edrkv\u00ed a ekumenick\u00fdm patriarch\u00e1tem je jasn\u011b definov\u00e1n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V roce 1962 z\u00e1konem \u010d. 812 ekumenick\u00e9ho patriarch\u00e1tu obdr\u017eeli v\u0161ichni biskupov\u00e9 Kr\u00e9ty titul metropolity, zat\u00edmco pozd\u011bji, z\u00e1konem \u010d. 283 z 28. \u00fanora 1967 ekumenick\u00e9ho patriarch\u00e1tu, byla kr\u00e9tsk\u00e1 metropole prohl\u00e1\u0161ena arcidiec\u00e9z\u00ed a metropolita arcibiskupem Kr\u00e9ty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Podle nov\u00e9 charty vykon\u00e1v\u00e1 spr\u00e1vu kr\u00e9tsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve eparchi\u00e1ln\u00ed synod, kter\u00fd je nejvy\u0161\u0161\u00edm m\u00edstn\u00edm org\u00e1nem a vykon\u00e1v\u00e1 dohled ve v\u0161ech oblastech c\u00edrkevn\u00edho \u017eivota metropol\u00ed.&nbsp; Na ostrov\u011b je pozoruhodn\u00fd kl\u00e1\u0161tern\u00ed \u017eivot, mu\u017esk\u00fd i \u017eensk\u00fd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vych\u00e1zej\u00ed \u010dasopisy a knihy. V provozu jsou rozhlasov\u00e9 stanice i rozs\u00e1hl\u00e1 soci\u00e1ln\u00ed pr\u00e1ce. K dispozici je tak\u00e9 c\u00edrkevn\u00ed gymn\u00e1zium a lyceum, vy\u0161\u0161\u00ed c\u00edrkevn\u00ed \u0161kola a pravoslavn\u00e1 akademie na Kr\u00e9t\u011b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ostrov je dodnes jednou z nejosobit\u011bj\u0161\u00edch oblast\u00ed \u0158ecka s vlastn\u00edm dialektem a uv\u011bdom\u011bn\u00edm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Na z\u00e1v\u011br d\u00e1me slovo otci Partheniovi, gerondovi z kl\u00e1\u0161tera Odigitria u vesnice Sivas. Jako rodil\u00fd Kr\u00e9\u0165an ze star\u00e9 k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9 rodiny, kter\u00e1 se pod\u00edl\u00ed na duchovn\u00edm \u017eivot\u011b ostrova, je t\u00edm nejpovolan\u011bj\u0161\u00edm, kdo se m\u016f\u017ee vyj\u00e1d\u0159it o sou\u010dasn\u00e9m \u017eivot\u011b na ostrov\u011b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201eZa\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 nov\u00e9 obdob\u00ed \u00fapadku Asterousie. Na\u0161e kl\u00e1\u0161tery jsou nedostate\u010dn\u011b funk\u010dn\u00ed s velmi mal\u00fdm po\u010dtem mnich\u016f a poustevny jsou p\u0159em\u011bn\u011bny bu\u010f na rekrea\u010dn\u00ed st\u0159ediska, nebo na osady s v\u00fdstavbou libovoln\u00fdch budov a hotel\u016f. Typick\u00fdm p\u0159\u00edkladem je Matala, poustevna s mnoha askety, kte\u0159\u00ed \u017eili v jeskyn\u00edch stovky let, se dnes stala turistickou vesnic\u00ed s hotely a obchody. Podobn\u00fd osud potk\u00e1 i dal\u0161\u00ed osady.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Krize mni\u0161stv\u00ed je v\u0161ak spojena tak\u00e9 s obecnou duchovn\u00ed kriz\u00ed na\u0161\u00ed doby, kriz\u00ed hodnot, mor\u00e1ln\u00edm \u00fapadkem spole\u010dnosti a vlivem materialistick\u00fdch proud\u016f.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rychl\u00e9 obohacen\u00ed posledn\u00edch let a duch bla\u017eenosti a pohody negativn\u011b ovlivnily duchovn\u00ed b\u011bh sv\u011bta na\u0161\u00ed doby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V sou\u010dasn\u00e9 dob\u011b prob\u00edh\u00e1 proces n\u00e1vratu lid\u00ed do c\u00edrkve, zejm\u00e9na mlad\u00fdch lid\u00ed, co\u017e je slibn\u00e9 do budoucna. Jak je patrn\u00e9 z historick\u00e9ho pr\u016fb\u011bhu mni\u0161stv\u00ed, kl\u00e1\u0161tery v\u017edy vykon\u00e1valy velkou charitativn\u00ed \u010dinnost, zejm\u00e9na v dob\u011b sv\u00e9ho rozkv\u011btu, a pom\u00e1haly lidem materi\u00e1ln\u011b, ale hlavn\u011b duchovn\u011b. V t\u011b\u017ek\u00fdch letech (v\u00e1lky, okupace) byli lidem nabl\u00edzku a poskytovali jim materi\u00e1ln\u00ed i duchovn\u00ed ochranu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V m\u00edrov\u00fdch dob\u00e1ch se kl\u00e1\u0161tery a poustevny st\u00e1vaj\u00ed p\u0159\u00edstavy du\u0161e pro mnichy i laiky a poskytuj\u00ed \u00fat\u011bchu, pokoj, pos\u00edlen\u00ed v\u00edry a osv\u00edcen\u00ed pro \u0159e\u0161en\u00ed r\u016fzn\u00fdch probl\u00e9m\u016f. M\u016f\u017eeme je nazvat nebesk\u00fdmi branami, kter\u00e9 n\u00e1s p\u0159ibli\u017euj\u00ed k Bohu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mni\u0161stv\u00ed je duchovn\u00ed maj\u00e1k, kter\u00fd vede v\u0161echny k\u0159es\u0165any do nebesk\u00e9ho kr\u00e1lovstv\u00ed. Mni\u0161i i poustevn\u00edci se p\u0159imlouvaj\u00ed u Boha za cel\u00fd sv\u011bt svou neust\u00e1lou modlitbou a uct\u00edv\u00e1n\u00edm. Poslu\u0161nost a pokora, kterou mnich \u017eije, \u0159e\u0161\u00ed slep\u00e9 uli\u010dky vytvo\u0159en\u00e9 aroganc\u00ed a p\u00fdchou, kter\u00e1 je p\u011bstov\u00e1na ve sv\u011bt\u011b a zp\u016fsobuje uv\u011bzn\u011bn\u00ed v egu a psychick\u00e9 poruchy. Zotro\u010den\u00ed \u010dlov\u011bka hmotou, zbo\u017e\u0161t\u011bn\u00edm pen\u011bz tr\u00e1p\u00ed jeho du\u0161i \u00fazkost\u00ed, nejistotou a vede k vyko\u0159is\u0165ov\u00e1n\u00ed \u010dlov\u011bka \u010dlov\u011bkem a ni\u010den\u00ed p\u0159\u00edrodn\u00edho prost\u0159ed\u00ed. Mnich bez majetku \u017eije bez materi\u00e1ln\u00edch starost\u00ed, v Bo\u017e\u00ed proz\u0159etelnosti, miluje a respektuje sv\u00e9 bli\u017en\u00ed jako obraz Boha a p\u0159\u00edrodu jako jeho stvo\u0159en\u00ed. Je p\u0159\u00edkladem p\u0159\u00edstupu k hmotn\u00fdm statk\u016fm. A ve velk\u00e9m probl\u00e9mu mravn\u00ed zka\u017eenosti na\u0161\u00ed doby, se sexu\u00e1ln\u00edm osvobozen\u00edm (cizolo\u017estv\u00ed, potrat atd.) a s rozpadem man\u017eelstv\u00ed s mnoha soci\u00e1ln\u00edmi d\u016fsledky, mni\u0161stv\u00ed s panenstv\u00edm a asketick\u00fd \u017eivot ukazuje cestu osvobozen\u00ed od v\u00e1\u0161n\u00ed a rozko\u0161\u00ed, kter\u00e9 \u010dlov\u011bka odlid\u0161\u0165uj\u00ed.
