P\u0159ich\u00e1z\u00edm z&nbsp;apo\u0161tolsk\u00e9ho m\u011bsta Antiochie, z&nbsp;n\u011bho\u017e se \u0161\u00ed\u0159ilo evangelium sm\u00ed\u0159en\u00ed a sp\u00e1sy pro v\u0161echny n\u00e1rody, a v&nbsp;n\u011bm\u017e byli u\u010dedn\u00edci poprv\u00e9 nazv\u00e1ni k\u0159es\u0165any. Od apo\u0161tolsk\u00e9ho obdob\u00ed Antiochie p\u0159etrv\u00e1v\u00e1 v obran\u011b svobody Bo\u017e\u00edch d\u011bt\u00ed uct\u00edvat Boha v duchu a pravd\u011b a podporuje c\u00edrkev v pohansk\u00fdch m\u011bstech proti diskriminaci a vylou\u010den\u00ed. To vedlo k tomu, \u017ee Bo\u017e\u00ed l\u00e1ska, kterou n\u00e1m B\u016fh prok\u00e1zal smrt\u00ed a vzk\u0159\u00ed\u0161en\u00edm Spasitele, je nyn\u00ed hl\u00e1s\u00e1na ve v\u0161ech \u010d\u00e1stech sv\u011bta.\u201c T\u011bmito slovy za\u010dal sv\u00e9 k\u00e1z\u00e1n\u00ed na zahajovac\u00ed ekumenick\u00e9 bohoslu\u017eb\u011b 11. shrom\u00e1\u017ed\u011bn\u00ed Sv\u011btov\u00e9 rady c\u00edrkve patriarcha antiochijsk\u00fd a cel\u00e9ho V\u00fdchodu Jan X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>T\u011b\u017ece zkou\u0161en\u00fd Bl\u00edzk\u00fd v\u00fdchod je kol\u00e9bkou k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed, ale z\u00e1rove\u0148 nejnebezpe\u010dn\u011bj\u0161\u00edm m\u00edstem pro k\u0159es\u0165any. Podle zpr\u00e1vy mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed katolick\u00e9 charitativn\u00ed organizace \u201eAid to the Church in Need\u201c k\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9 Bl\u00edzk\u00e9ho v\u00fdchodu ji\u017e za deset let nebudou k nalezen\u00ed. Podle zpr\u00e1vy b\u00fdval\u00e9ho britsk\u00e9ho ministra zahrani\u010d\u00ed Jeremy Hunta, kter\u00e1 byla zve\u0159ejn\u011bna v kv\u011btnu 2019, \u00farove\u0148 a povaha pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1n\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f na Bl\u00edzk\u00e9m v\u00fdchod\u011b se z\u0159ejm\u011b bl\u00ed\u017e\u00ed mezin\u00e1rodn\u00ed definici genocidy, p\u0159ijat\u00e9 OSN. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antiochijsk\u00fd patriarch\u00e1t, jen\u017e je jednou z&nbsp;nejstar\u0161\u00edch pravoslavn\u00fdch c\u00edrkv\u00ed na sv\u011bt\u011b, se ty\u010d\u00ed uprost\u0159ed Bl\u00edzk\u00e9ho v\u00fdchodu jako pevnost chr\u00e1n\u00edc\u00ed zbytky Kristov\u00fdch n\u00e1sledovn\u00edk\u016f. V sou\u010dasn\u00e9 dob\u011b pod jurisdikci Antiochijsk\u00e9ho patriarch\u00e1tu spadaj\u00ed Libanon, S\u00fdrie, Ir\u00e1k, Kuvajt a dal\u0161\u00ed zem\u011b Persk\u00e9ho z\u00e1livu, \u00cdr\u00e1n, Arabsk\u00fd poloostrov, Ji\u017en\u00ed Turecko, existuj\u00ed eparchie na jin\u00fdch kontinentech, v&nbsp;Severn\u00ed a Ji\u017en\u00ed Americe, Austr\u00e1lii a Evrop\u011b.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Centrum Seleukovsk\u00e9 \u0159\u00ed\u0161e<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antiochie byla zalo\u017eena v roce 300 p\u0159ed na\u0161\u00edm letopo\u010dtem Seleukem I. N\u00edk\u00e1t\u00f3rem, d\u016fstojn\u00edkem Alexandra Velik\u00e9ho, jedn\u00edm z v\u016fd\u010d\u00edch diadoch\u016f, prvn\u00edm panovn\u00edkem z dynastie Seleukovc\u016f. V\u00fdhodn\u00e1 geografick\u00e1 poloha m\u011bsta umo\u017e\u0148ovala dr\u017eet pod kontrolou hlavn\u00ed obchodn\u00ed cesty, d\u00edky \u010demu\u017e se Antiochie velmi brzy stala nejbohat\u0161\u00edm centrem dr\u017eavy. V roce 64 p\u0159. n. l. se S\u00fdrie st\u00e1v\u00e1 sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed \u0158\u00edmsk\u00e9 \u0159\u00ed\u0161e a v pr\u016fb\u011bhu dal\u0161\u00edch t\u0159\u00ed stalet\u00ed Antiochie z\u016fst\u00e1v\u00e1 t\u0159et\u00edm\u00a0nejv\u00fdznamn\u011bj\u0161\u00edm m\u011bstem imp\u00e9ria po \u0158\u00edmu a Alexandrii.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"493\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/1-1024x493.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1597\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/1-1024x493.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/1-300x144.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/1-768x370.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/1-1536x739.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/1.jpg 1612w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ve starov\u011bk\u00e9 Antiochii \u017eilo mnoho n\u00e1rod\u016f, kter\u00e9 praktikovaly r\u016fznorod\u00e9 v\u00fdchodn\u00ed kulty, co\u017e potvrzuj\u00ed zm\u00ednky v p\u00edsemn\u00fdch pramenech o r\u016fzn\u00fdch chr\u00e1mech a n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fdch pam\u00e1tk\u00e1ch. Politick\u00e9 a ekonomick\u00e9 vazby m\u011bsta s po\u010detn\u00fdmi zem\u011bmi sv\u011bta p\u0159itahovaly do Antiochie F\u00e9ni\u010dany, Per\u0161any, Egyp\u0165any, Indy a Araby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V\u011bt\u0161inu m\u00edstn\u00edho obyvatelstva tvo\u0159ili helenizovan\u00ed Sy\u0159an\u00e9 a \u0158ekov\u00e9. Dal\u0161\u00ed nejv\u00fdznamn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed etnickou skupinou v Antiochii byli \u017did\u00e9. Josef Flavius zmi\u0148uje, \u017ee Seleukovci nal\u00e1kali \u017didy t\u00edm, \u017ee jim dali pln\u00e1 pr\u00e1va ob\u010dan\u016f (\u017didovsk\u00e9 staro\u017eitnosti XII 119). \u017didovsk\u00e1 populace se je\u0161t\u011b zv\u011bt\u0161ila po roce 200 p\u0159. n. l., kdy Judsko bylo p\u0159ipojeno k Seleukovsk\u00e9 \u0159\u00ed\u0161i. Pr\u00e1v\u011b tato komunita se pozd\u011bji stala \u00farodnou p\u016fdou, na n\u00ed\u017e se zako\u0159enilo k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Po\u010d\u00e1tky k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prvn\u00ed zm\u00ednka o Antiochii v&nbsp;Nov\u00e9m z\u00e1kon\u011b je spojena s p\u0159\u00edb\u011bhem vyvolen\u00ed prvn\u00edch 7 di\u00e1kon\u016f. Jedn\u00edm z&nbsp;nich byl Mikul\u00e1\u0161 z&nbsp;Antiochie, p\u016fvodem pohan (Skutky 6:3\u20136). K\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed ut\u00edkali z&nbsp;Jeruzal\u00e9ma p\u0159ed pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1n\u00edm, na za\u010d\u00e1tku zv\u011bstovali evangelium jenom \u017eid\u016fm. Ale pr\u00e1v\u011b v&nbsp;Antiochii n\u011bkte\u0159\u00ed z nich, p\u016fvodem z Kypru a z Kyr\u00e9ny, za\u010dali zv\u011bstovat P\u00e1na Je\u017e\u00ed\u0161e tak\u00e9 pohan\u016fm a obr\u00e1tili velik\u00e9 mno\u017estv\u00ed lid\u00ed (11:19\u201322). Tak b\u011bhem jednoho desetilet\u00ed po Kristov\u011b zmrtv\u00fdchvst\u00e1n\u00ed vznik\u00e1 c\u00edrkev Antiochie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apo\u0161tolov\u00e9, kdy\u017e vid\u011bli rychl\u00fd r\u016fst nov\u00e9 k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9 komunity, rozhodli vyslat tam Barnab\u00e1\u0161e, aby se staral o nov\u011b obr\u00e1cen\u00e9. Vzhledem k tomu, \u017ee po\u010det t\u011bch, kte\u0159\u00ed uv\u011b\u0159ili v Krista, byl docela v\u00fdznamn\u00fd, Barnab\u00e1\u0161 p\u0159ivedl z Tarsu apo\u0161tola Pavla. Jejich spole\u010dn\u00fdm \u00fasil\u00edm se antiochijsk\u00e1 k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e1 komunita za rok rozrostla. Pr\u00e1v\u011b v Antiochii byli u\u010dedn\u00edci poprv\u00e9 nazv\u00e1ni k\u0159es\u0165any (11:22\u201326).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Apo\u0161tol Luk\u00e1\u0161 vyjmenov\u00e1v\u00e1 \u201eproroky a u\u010ditele\u201c antiochijsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve: krom\u011b Barnab\u00e1\u0161e a Pavla to byli Simeon, zvan\u00fd \u010cern\u00fd, Lucius z Kyr\u00e9ny, Manahem, kter\u00fd b\u00fdval druhem tetrarchy Heroda (13:2\u20133).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Antiochij\u0161t\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9, nehled\u011b na to, \u017ee byli obklopeni p\u0159\u00edznivci pohansk\u00fdch kult\u016f, se pevn\u011b dr\u017eeli sv\u00e9 nov\u00e9 v\u00edry a podle sv\u00fdch mo\u017enost\u00ed pom\u00e1hali brat\u0159\u00edm v\u00a0Judsku, zvl\u00e1\u0161t\u011b kdy\u017e nastal hlad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"803\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/2-803x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1598\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/2-803x1024.jpg 803w, https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/2-235x300.jpg 235w, https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/2-768x979.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/2-1204x1536.jpg 1204w, https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/2-1606x2048.jpg 1606w, https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/2.jpg 1816w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 803px) 100vw, 803px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Spolu s apo\u0161tolem Pavlem je tak\u00e9 apo\u0161tol Petr tradi\u010dn\u011b pova\u017eov\u00e1n za zakladatele antiochijsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve, o \u010dem\u017e sv\u011bd\u010d\u00ed mnoz\u00ed c\u00edrkevn\u00ed spisovatel\u00e9 (Eusebius z Kaisareie, sv. Jan Zlato\u00fast\u00fd, sv. Jeron\u00fdm, sv. Lev I. Velik\u00fd). Apo\u0161tol Petr dokon\u010dil z\u0159\u00edzen\u00ed c\u00edrkevn\u00ed organizace v Antiochii. Slo\u017eit\u00e1 n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e1 situace na tomto \u00fazem\u00ed p\u0159isp\u011bla k&nbsp;tomu, \u017ee m\u00edstn\u00ed c\u00edrkevn\u00ed organizace vznikla velmi brzo a rozv\u00edjela se rychle. Na z\u00e1klad\u011b epi\u0161tol sv. mu\u010dedn\u00edka Ignatia Bohonosce lze p\u0159edpokl\u00e1dat, \u017ee t\u0159\u00edstup\u0148ov\u00e1 hierarchie v \u010dele s biskupem obda\u0159en\u00fdm nejvy\u0161\u0161\u00ed moc\u00ed se v Antiochii zformovala d\u0159\u00edve ne\u017e v jin\u00fdch starov\u011bk\u00fdch centrech k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Krev mu\u010dedn\u00edk\u016f<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Podle Tertuli\u00e1na je krev mu\u010dedn\u00edk\u016f semenem k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve. T\u00edmto semenem je hojn\u011b zaseta syrsk\u00e1 zem\u011b. V\u00a0roce 107 byl v\u00a0\u0159\u00edmsk\u00e9m amfite\u00e1tru na rozkaz c\u00edsa\u0159e Traj\u00e1na roztrh\u00e1n drav\u00fdmi \u0161elmami sv. Ignatios Antiochijsk\u00fd zv\u00e1ny Bohonosec. C\u00edsa\u0159 doufal, \u017ee jeho exempl\u00e1rn\u00ed poprava p\u0159edejde dal\u0161\u00edmu \u0161\u00ed\u0159en\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed, ov\u0161em cesta biskupa z\u00a0Antiochie do \u0158\u00edma se stala triumfem k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve. Do hlavn\u00edho m\u011bsta imp\u00e9ria ho vezli p\u0159es celou Malou Asii. V\u011b\u0159\u00edc\u00ed vych\u00e1zeli sv\u011btcovi vst\u0159\u00edc. Posiloval je, u\u010dil, varoval p\u0159ed herezemi. Sv. Jan Zlato\u00fast\u00fd ho proto srovn\u00e1v\u00e1 se sluncem, kter\u00e9 vy\u0161lo na v\u00fdchod\u011b a sm\u011b\u0159ovalo na z\u00e1pad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"664\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/3-664x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1599\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/3-664x1024.jpg 664w, https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/3-195x300.jpg 195w, https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/3-768x1185.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.hlas-pravoslavi.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/3.jpg 778w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 664px) 100vw, 664px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Prvn\u00edm spolehliv\u011b dolo\u017een\u00fdm p\u0159enesen\u00edm ostatk\u016f sv\u011btce v&nbsp;d\u011bjin\u00e1ch k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed bylo p\u0159enesen\u00ed sv. mu\u010dedn\u00edka biskupa antiochijsk\u00e9ho jm\u00e9nem Babylas. Byl umu\u010den b\u011bhem Deciova pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1n\u00ed v&nbsp;roce 250, a v roce 351 c\u00edsa\u0159 Constantius Gallus nechal postavit chr\u00e1m k Babylov\u011b sl\u00e1v\u011b na p\u0159edm\u011bst\u00ed Antiochie a p\u0159ik\u00e1zal p\u0159en\u00e9st tam ostatky svat\u00e9ho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kdy\u017e \u0159\u00ed\u0161i vl\u00e1dl c\u00edsa\u0159 Maximinus Daia, pohan\u00e9 z Antiochie se pokusili zbavit se v\u0161ech k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f \u017eij\u00edc\u00edch ve m\u011bst\u011b. P\u0159i c\u00edsa\u0159ov\u011b n\u00e1v\u0161t\u011bv\u011b S\u00fdrie v&nbsp;r. 311 ho delegace urozen\u00fdch ob\u010dan\u016f po\u017e\u00e1dala o zru\u0161en\u00ed toleran\u010dn\u00edho ediktu vydan\u00e9ho c\u00edsa\u0159em Galeriem. C\u00edsa\u0159 se zru\u0161en\u00edm ediktu souhlasil, a t\u00edm bylo zah\u00e1jeno brut\u00e1ln\u00ed pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1n\u00ed antiochijsk\u00fdch k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f. Svat\u00ed Jan Zlato\u00fast\u00fd (PG. 5. Col. 635\u2013636) a Ambro\u017e Mil\u00e1nsk\u00fd (PL. 16. Col. 241\u2013242) p\u00ed\u0161ou o mno\u017estv\u00ed d\u00edvek a \u017een, kter\u00e9 odm\u00edtly z\u0159eknout se Kristovy v\u00edry a p\u0159ijaly mu\u010dednickou smrt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hereze a rozkoly<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S p\u0159\u00edchodem k moci c\u00edsa\u0159e Konstantina Velik\u00e9ho za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 nov\u00e1 \u00e9ra v d\u011bjin\u00e1ch k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9 c\u00edrkve. Pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1n\u00ed p\u0159estalo, ale vznik\u00e1 nov\u00e9 nebezpe\u010d\u00ed \u2013 hereze. Prvn\u00ed z&nbsp;nich \u2013 ari\u00e1nstv\u00ed \u2013 ot\u0159\u00e1sla cel\u00fdm k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00fdm sv\u011btem. V&nbsp;syrsk\u00e9m rukopisu (Paris. syr. 62) se zachovalo poselstv\u00ed prvn\u00edho antiari\u00e1nsk\u00e9ho sn\u011bmu, kter\u00fd se konal v&nbsp;Antiochii na konci r. 324 nebo na za\u010d\u00e1tku r. 325. Sn\u011bmovn\u00ed otcov\u00e9 odsoudili Areia a navrhli vy\u0159e\u0161it ari\u00e1nsk\u00fd probl\u00e9m pomoc\u00ed v\u0161ec\u00edrkevn\u00edho sn\u011bmu. Tak vznikla my\u0161lenka v\u0161eobecn\u00e9ho sn\u011bmu. Na rozkaz c\u00edsa\u0159e Konstantina byl prvn\u00ed V\u0161eobecn\u00fd sn\u011bm svol\u00e1n v&nbsp;roce 325 a je zn\u00e1m jako Prvn\u00ed nikajsk\u00fd. Z&nbsp;318 otc\u016f jich 80 bylo p\u0159edstaviteli V\u00fdchodn\u00ed diec\u00e9ze \u0159\u00ed\u0161e. Sv\u00fdm \u0161est\u00fdm pravidlem sn\u011bm potvrdil tradi\u010dn\u00ed privilegia antiochijsk\u00e9ho biskupa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V\u00a04. stolet\u00ed se v\u011bt\u0161ina m\u00edstn\u00edch antiochijsk\u00fdch sn\u011bm\u016f zab\u00fdvala ari\u00e1nsk\u00fdmi spory. A christologick\u00e9 spory 5. stolet\u00ed vedly k\u00a0naru\u0161en\u00ed duchovn\u00ed jednoty k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f. V\u00fdznam antiochijsk\u00e9 katedry za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 klesat. V roce 431 kypersk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev vych\u00e1z\u00ed z\u00a0jurisdikce c\u00edrkve antiochijsk\u00e9 a na IV. Jakub z\u00edskal od monofyzitsk\u00e9ho patriarchy Theodosia I. Alexandrijsk\u00e9ho, jen\u017e se v&nbsp;t\u00e9 dob\u011b tak\u00e9 nach\u00e1zel v&nbsp;Konstantinopoli, pr\u00e1vo sv\u011btit kn\u011b\u017e\u00ed a biskupy. Pot\u00e9 Jakub pro\u0161el cel\u00fdm V\u00fdchodem a vykonal mno\u017estv\u00ed biskupsk\u00fdch chirotoni\u00ed. V&nbsp;d\u016fsledku t\u011bchto ud\u00e1lost\u00ed se syrsk\u00e9 obyvatelstvo rozd\u011blilo na dv\u011b n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e1 vyzn\u00e1n\u00ed. Kdy\u017e d\u0159\u00edve pravoslavn\u00ed, kte\u0159\u00ed uzn\u00e1vali chalkedonsk\u00fd sn\u011bm, a monofyzit\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed ho odm\u00edtali, tvo\u0159ili dv\u011b teologick\u00e9 odv\u011btv\u00ed v&nbsp;r\u00e1mci jedin\u00e9 c\u00edrkve, od t\u00e9to doby za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 skute\u010dn\u00fd c\u00edrkevn\u00ed rozkol. C\u00edrkev vznikl\u00e1 v&nbsp;d\u016fsledku \u010dinnosti Jakuba Baradaie se za\u010dala naz\u00fdvat Jakobitsk\u00e1 a jej\u00ed p\u0159\u00edvr\u017eenci naz\u00fdvali pravoslavn\u00e9 melchit\u00e9 (c\u00edsa\u0159\u0161t\u00ed), proto\u017ee chalkedonsk\u00e9 vyzn\u00e1n\u00ed bylo podporov\u00e1no c\u00edsa\u0159skou vl\u00e1dou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pod nadvl\u00e1dou Arab\u016f<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V&nbsp;30. letech 7. stolet\u00ed Byzanc za\u017eila nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed katastrofu v&nbsp;d\u011bjin\u00e1ch. Jej\u00ed v\u00fdchodn\u00ed \u00fazem\u00ed bylo dobyto Araby inspirovan\u00fdmi nov\u00fdm n\u00e1bo\u017eenstv\u00edm \u2013 isl\u00e1mem. Vojensk\u00e9 a ekonomick\u00e9 zdroje \u0159\u00ed\u0161e byly vy\u010derp\u00e1ny dlouhou konfrontac\u00ed se S\u00e1s\u00e1novsk\u00fdm \u00cdr\u00e1nem. Duchovn\u00ed jednota zem\u011b byla naru\u0161ena monofyzitick\u00fdm schizmatem a ne\u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00fdmi pokusy o jeho p\u0159ekon\u00e1n\u00ed. V&nbsp;d\u016fsledku toho v\u0161eho se v\u00fdchod stal snadnou ko\u0159ist\u00ed Arab\u016f.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Syr\u0161t\u00ed monofyzit\u00e9 v\u00edtali Araby jako osvoboditele, ale pravoslavn\u00ed vn\u00edmali muslimsk\u00e9 vp\u00e1dy mnohem negativn\u011bji. Arabov\u00e9 poskytli sv\u00fdm k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00fdm poddan\u00fdm status <em>dhimmi<\/em>. K\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9 si mohli u\u017e\u00edvat svobodu vyzn\u00e1n\u00ed a \u0161irokou vnit\u0159n\u00ed autonomii v\u00fdm\u011bnou za politickou loajalitu a placen\u00ed dan\u011b zvan\u00e9 <em>d\u017eizja<\/em>. K\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9 komunity kalif\u00e1tu se \u0159\u00eddily vlastn\u00ed duchovn\u00ed hierarchi\u00ed, kter\u00e1 m\u011bla mnoho v\u00fdsad sv\u011btsk\u00e9 moci, zejm\u00e9na pr\u00e1vo na v\u00fdb\u011br dan\u00ed a \u0159e\u0161en\u00ed rodinn\u00fdch a majetkov\u00fdch z\u00e1le\u017eitost\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u017divot k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f pod isl\u00e1mskou nadvl\u00e1dou byl spojen s \u0159adou omezen\u00ed. Mnoh\u00e9 chr\u00e1my byly p\u0159em\u011bn\u011bny na me\u0161ity. Mision\u00e1\u0159sk\u00e1 \u010dinnost mezi muslimy byla zak\u00e1z\u00e1na. K\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9 nem\u011bli p\u0159\u00edstup k vojensk\u00e9 slu\u017eb\u011b, nejvy\u0161\u0161\u00edm st\u00e1tn\u00edm \u00fa\u0159ad\u016fm. K\u0159es\u0165an\u016fm bylo zak\u00e1z\u00e1no br\u00e1t si za \u017eeny muslimky, ale muslim\u0161t\u00ed mu\u017ei se mohli o\u017eenit s k\u0159es\u0165ankami za podm\u00ednky, \u017ee jejich d\u011bti budou muslimy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Po\u010det k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f v S\u00fdrii pod arabskou nadvl\u00e1dou z\u016fst\u00e1val dost v\u00fdznamn\u00fd a\u017e do konce 11. stolet\u00ed. Ve star\u00fdch helenizovan\u00fdch m\u011bstech a pob\u0159e\u017en\u00edch oblastech zem\u011b k\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9 po dlouhou dobu p\u0159evl\u00e1dali. P\u0159esto islamizace byla v\u00e1\u017en\u00fdm probl\u00e9mem. Nej\u010dast\u011bji k\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9 konvertovali pod vlivem soci\u00e1ln\u00edho a ekonomick\u00e9ho \u00fatlaku ve snaze zbavit se sv\u00e9ho n\u00edzk\u00e9ho statusu a dos\u00e1hnout \u00fasp\u011bchu ve spole\u010dnosti.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u00edky vysok\u00e9 \u00farovni vzd\u011bl\u00e1n\u00ed se n\u011bkter\u00fdm <em>dhimmi<\/em> poda\u0159ilo dos\u00e1hnout vysok\u00e9ho soci\u00e1ln\u00edho postaven\u00ed v&nbsp;kalif\u00e1tu. K\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9 zauj\u00edmali siln\u00e9 postaven\u00ed v obchodov\u00e1n\u00ed a financ\u00edch a prakticky monopolizovali zdravotnictv\u00ed, z&nbsp;nich se skl\u00e1dala ni\u017e\u0161\u00ed a st\u0159edn\u00ed vrstva \u00fa\u0159ednictva. Ve\u0161ker\u00e1 administrativa v&nbsp;S\u00fdrii do za\u010d\u00e1tku 8. stolet\u00ed byla vedena v&nbsp;\u0159e\u010dtin\u011b.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do po\u010d\u00e1tku 8. stolet\u00ed pravoslavn\u00ed antiochij\u0161t\u00ed patriarchov\u00e9 \u017eili v Konstantinopoli. Ale po roce 702 i tato exilov\u00e1 linie byla p\u0159eru\u0161ena. Patriarch\u00e1ln\u00ed posloupnost byla obnovena o 40 let pozd\u011bji v samotn\u00e9 Antiochii, kdy\u017e chal\u00edfa Hi\u0161am dovolil k\u0159es\u0165an\u016fm zvolit na Antiochijsk\u00fd stolec Sy\u0159ana Stefana III. V&nbsp;8. a 9. stolet\u00ed arabsk\u00e9 \u00fa\u0159ady \u010dasto otev\u0159en\u011b zasahovaly do volby patriarch\u016f a usilovaly o vysv\u011bcen\u00ed sv\u00fdch chr\u00e1n\u011bnc\u016f. Muslim\u016fm \u0161lo p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm o loajalitu, proto Arabov\u00e9 rad\u011bji vid\u011bli na patriar\u0161\u00edm stolci Aramejce, kte\u0159\u00ed nemluvili \u0159ecky a nem\u011bli s Byzanc\u00ed nic spole\u010dn\u00e9ho.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V&nbsp;dob\u011b ikonoborectv\u00ed do chal\u00edf\u00e1tu ut\u00edkali byzant\u0161t\u00ed mni\u0161i, aby unikli pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1n\u00ed ze strany kac\u00ed\u0159sk\u00fdch c\u00edsa\u0159\u016f. V roce 764 bylo ikonoborectv\u00ed anathematizov\u00e1no v\u00fdchodn\u00edmi patriarchy. S\u00fdrie a Palestina se staly ba\u0161tou pravoslavn\u00e9ho odboje proti ikonoborectv\u00ed. Zde, mimo dosah konstantinopolsk\u00fdch \u00fa\u0159ad\u016f, se formulovalo dogmatick\u00e9 u\u010den\u00ed, kter\u00e9 zv\u00edt\u011bzilo na 7. v\u0161eobecn\u00e9m sn\u011bmu (787).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ov\u0161em z\u00e1rove\u0148 se zapojen\u00edm syrsk\u00fdch k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f do vnit\u0159n\u00edho \u017eivota Byzance postupn\u011b nab\u00edral na obr\u00e1tk\u00e1ch i opa\u010dn\u00fd proces \u2013 orientalizace, uzav\u00edr\u00e1n\u00ed syrsk\u00e9ho pravoslavn\u00e9ho spole\u010denstv\u00ed, oslaben\u00ed vazeb s Konstantinopol\u00ed. St\u00e1le m\u00e9n\u011b se pou\u017e\u00edvala \u0159e\u010dtina, \u010dasto ji neovl\u00e1dali ani biskupov\u00e9. Ka\u017edodenn\u00edm a liturgick\u00fdm jazykem pravoslavn\u00fdch byla syr\u0161tina, kterou postupem \u010dasu vytla\u010dila arab\u0161tina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prvn\u00ed stalet\u00ed muslimsk\u00e9 nadvl\u00e1dy se vyzna\u010dovala dosti vysokou m\u00edrou n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9 tolerance, kdy k\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9 svobodn\u011b vykon\u00e1vali bohoslu\u017eby, m\u011bli siln\u00e9 postaven\u00ed ve spole\u010dnosti a zauj\u00edmali p\u0159edn\u00ed pozice ve st\u00e1tn\u00ed spr\u00e1v\u011b. Utla\u010dov\u00e1n\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f, k n\u011bmu\u017e ob\u010das doch\u00e1zelo v provinci\u00edch, bylo zp\u016fsobeno sp\u00ed\u0161e chamtivost\u00ed m\u00edstodr\u017eitel\u016f ne\u017e n\u00e1bo\u017eenskou nesn\u00e1\u0161enlivost\u00ed. K prvn\u00edmu c\u00edlen\u00e9mu pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1n\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f do\u0161lo za vl\u00e1dy chal\u00edfy Umara II. (717\u2013720). D\u016fvodem byla rostouc\u00ed nespokojenost muslim\u016f s prosperitou, vlivem a bohatstv\u00edm <em>dhimmi<\/em>. Umar na\u0159\u00eddil k\u0159es\u0165an\u016fm nosit zvl\u00e1\u0161tn\u00ed oble\u010den\u00ed, zak\u00e1zal stavbu nov\u00fdch chr\u00e1m\u016f a nutil je konvertovat k isl\u00e1mu. Muslimsk\u00e1 tradice mu p\u0159ipisuje vylou\u010den\u00ed v\u0161ech k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00fdch \u00fa\u0159edn\u00edk\u016f ze slu\u017eeb. Podobn\u00e9 \u201e\u010distky\u201c spr\u00e1vn\u00edho apar\u00e1tu se prov\u00e1d\u011bly p\u0159i ka\u017ed\u00e9m pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1n\u00ed, ale nep\u0159in\u00e1\u0161ely \u017e\u00e1dn\u00fd v\u00fdsledek, proto\u017ee v&nbsp;chal\u00edf\u00e1tu byl je\u0161t\u011b dlouho nedostatek vzd\u011blan\u00fdch muslim\u016f schopn\u00fdch nahradit k\u0159es\u0165any.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V polovin\u011b dev\u00e1t\u00e9ho stolet\u00ed st\u00e1le zjevn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed politick\u00e1 krize a oslaben\u00ed isl\u00e1msk\u00e9ho imp\u00e9ria vyvolalo mezi muslimy r\u016fst fundamentalistick\u00fdch n\u00e1lad a n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9 nesn\u00e1\u0161enlivosti v\u016f\u010di k\u0159es\u0165an\u016fm. Podle \u0159ady v\u00fdzkumn\u00edk\u016f se od t\u00e9 doby demografick\u00e1 rovnov\u00e1ha v S\u00fdrii zm\u011bnila ve prosp\u011bch muslim\u016f.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Druh\u00e9 byzantsk\u00e9 obdob\u00ed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V&nbsp;d\u016fsledku vojensk\u00fdch v\u00fdprav byzantsk\u00fdch c\u00edsa\u0159\u016f Nikefora II. Foky, Jana I. Tzimiska a Basila II. Bulharobijce na Bl\u00edzk\u00e9m v\u00fdchod\u011b ke konci 10. stolet\u00ed vznikl syst\u00e9m zalo\u017een\u00fd na rovnov\u00e1ze dvou velik\u00fdch dr\u017eav \u2013 Byzance, kter\u00e1 kontrolovala zna\u010dnou \u010d\u00e1st severn\u00ed S\u00fdrie, a egyptsk\u00e9ho F\u00e1timovsk\u00e9ho chal\u00edf\u00e1tu, jen\u017e zahrnoval Libanon a ji\u017en\u00ed S\u00fdrii. Posledn\u00edm \u00fasp\u011bchem Byzance bylo dobyt\u00ed Edessy v&nbsp;r. 1031, d\u00edky \u010demu\u017e se t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 polovina \u00fazem\u00ed antiochijsk\u00e9ho patriarch\u00e1tu op\u011bt stala sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9 \u0159\u00ed\u0161e. Na tomto \u00fazem\u00ed \u017eili \u0158ekov\u00e9, pravoslavn\u00ed Arabov\u00e9, Arm\u00e9ni, Sy\u0159an\u00e9-Jakobit\u00e9, posledn\u00ed v\u0161ak kv\u016fli n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9mu pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1n\u00ed postupn\u011b migrovali na \u00fazem\u00ed kontrolovan\u00e9 muslimy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P\u0159esto\u017ee v\u011bt\u0161ina patriarch\u016f byla volena za \u00fa\u010dasti c\u00edsa\u0159e, ve vztahu ke konstantinopolsk\u00e9mu patriarchovi se chovali zcela samostatn\u011b. Jako p\u0159\u00edklad lze uv\u00e9st postoj antiochijsk\u00e9ho patriarchy Petra III. ke konfliktu mezi \u0159\u00edmskou a konstantinopolskou c\u00edrkv\u00ed, kter\u00fd vedl k&nbsp;rozkolu v&nbsp;r. 1054. Patriarcha souhlasil, \u017ee z\u00e1padn\u00ed c\u00edrkev se dopustila \u0159ady teologick\u00fdch a liturgick\u00fdch p\u0159estupk\u016f, ale vyzval k zdr\u017eenliv\u00e9mu postoji v\u016f\u010di Z\u00e1padu v nad\u011bji, \u017ee se \u0158\u00edm \u010dasem znovu sjednot\u00ed s pravoslav\u00edm. V okol\u00ed m\u011bsta vzkv\u00e9taly monast\u00fdry, kde p\u016fsobili mni\u0161i \u0159eck\u00e9ho, gruz\u00ednsk\u00e9ho, arabsk\u00e9ho a arm\u00e9nsk\u00e9ho p\u016fvodu, monast\u00fdry se staly centry aktivn\u00ed liter\u00e1rn\u00ed a vzd\u011bl\u00e1vac\u00ed \u010dinnosti. V\u00a0polovin\u011b 11. stolet\u00ed vy\u0161lo prvn\u00ed \u00fapln\u00e9 arabsk\u00e9 vyd\u00e1n\u00ed Bible. I p\u0159esto to, \u017ee m\u00edstn\u00ed pravoslavn\u00e1 kultura op\u011bt za\u010dala za\u017e\u00edvat siln\u00fd \u0159eck\u00fd vliv, neztratila svou v\u00fdchodn\u00ed identitu a zachov\u00e1vala \u00fazk\u00e9 vazby se zbytkem arabsk\u00e9ho sv\u011bta. V roce 1071 v bitv\u011b u Manzikertu Seld\u017eukov\u00e9 porazili a zajali byzantsk\u00e9ho c\u00edsa\u0159e Romana IV. Toto v\u00edt\u011bzstv\u00ed otev\u0159elo Turk\u016fm cestu do severn\u00ed S\u00fdrie a Mal\u00e9 Asie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Samotn\u00e1 seld\u017euck\u00e1 nadvl\u00e1da nevedla ke zna\u010dn\u00e9mu zhor\u0161en\u00ed soci\u00e1ln\u00edho postaven\u00ed m\u00edstn\u00edch k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f. Ve v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed m\u00ed\u0159e pravoslavn\u00ed, stejn\u011b jako ostatn\u00ed obyvatel\u00e9, sp\u00ed\u0161e trp\u011bli politickou nestabilitou, nekone\u010dn\u00fdmi v\u00e1lkami mal\u00fdch emir\u00e1t\u016f, n\u00e1siln\u00fdm rozd\u011blov\u00e1n\u00edm \u00fazem\u00ed. V roce 1097 se ve v\u00fdchodn\u00edm St\u0159edomo\u0159\u00ed objevili k\u0159i\u017e\u00e1ci, kte\u0159\u00ed za sv\u016fj c\u00edl prohl\u00e1sili osvobozen\u00ed Svat\u00e9 zem\u011b ze jha muslim\u016f. Jejich p\u0159\u00edchod se stal pro Bl\u00edzk\u00fd v\u00fdchod jednou z&nbsp;nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edch trag\u00e9di\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seld\u017eu\u010dt\u00ed vlada\u0159i Antiochie se ob\u00e1vali, \u017ee v\u011bt\u0161ina k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00fdch obyvatel podpo\u0159\u00ed k\u0159i\u017e\u00e1ky, proto ze m\u011bsta byli vyhn\u00e1ni nejvlivn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9 a pravoslavn\u00fd patriarcha Jan IV. byl uv\u011bzn\u011bn. 3. \u010dervna 1098 k\u0159i\u017e\u00e1ci dobyli Antiochii, a v&nbsp;\u010dervenci 1099 Jeruzal\u00e9m. Na dobyt\u00fdch \u00fazem\u00edch vznikly k\u0159i\u017e\u00e1ck\u00e9 st\u00e1ty: Jeruzal\u00e9msk\u00e9 kr\u00e1lovstv\u00ed, Tripolsk\u00e9 hrabstv\u00ed, Antiochijsk\u00e9 kn\u00ed\u017eectv\u00ed, Edessk\u00e9 hrabstv\u00ed. V\u00fdchodn\u00ed \u010d\u00e1st antiochijsk\u00e9ho patriarch\u00e1tu z\u016fstala pod nadvl\u00e1dou muslim\u016f.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S v\u00edt\u011bzstv\u00edm k\u0159i\u017e\u00e1k\u016f se postaven\u00ed syrsk\u00fdch k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f nezlep\u0161ilo. Latin\u00edci vn\u00edmali pravoslavn\u00e9 jako m\u00e9n\u011bcenn\u00e9 k\u0159es\u0165any. V roce 1100 byl vyhn\u00e1n patriarcha Jan IV. Na jeho m\u00edsto byl ustanoven latin\u00edk. Kr\u00e1tce na to latin\u0161t\u00ed hierarchov\u00e9 nahradili pravoslavn\u00e9 biskupy na cel\u00e9m \u00fazem\u00ed, kter\u00e9 m\u011bli pod kontrolou. Paraleln\u00ed pravoslavn\u00e1 hierarchie se zachovala, ale biskupov\u00e9 \u017eili ve vyhnanstv\u00ed v&nbsp;Konstantinopoli.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>T\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 cel\u00e9 12. stolet\u00ed Byzantsk\u00e1 \u0159\u00ed\u0161e usilovala o n\u00e1vrat sv\u00e9ho bl\u00edzkov\u00fdchodn\u00edho \u00fazem\u00ed a p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm Antiochie. Skute\u010dn\u00fdm triumfem Byzance byla vojensk\u00e1 v\u00fdprava c\u00edsa\u0159e Manuela I. v&nbsp;r. 1159. Jedn\u00edm z bod\u016f m\u00edrov\u00e9 smlouvy byl n\u00e1vrat do Antiochie pravoslavn\u00e9ho patriarchy Athanasia I. Po 6 letech zahynul spolu s v\u011bt\u0161inou duchovn\u00edch p\u0159i zem\u011bt\u0159esen\u00ed pod troskami chr\u00e1mu. Po por\u00e1\u017ece v bitv\u011b se Seld\u017euky v&nbsp;r. 1176 \u017e\u00e1dn\u00fd vliv v&nbsp;S\u00fdrii Byzanc u\u017e m\u00edt nemohla a o \u010dtvrt stolet\u00ed pozd\u011bji Konstantinopol dobyli k\u0159i\u017e\u00e1ci.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nicm\u00e9n\u011b pravoslavn\u00fd Antiochijsk\u00fd patriarch\u00e1t byl obnoven a \u0159\u00edmsk\u00e9mu pape\u017ei kone\u010dn\u011b do\u0161lo, \u017ee nem\u016f\u017ee jen tak za\u010dlenit v\u00fdchodn\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165any do \u0159\u00edmskokatolick\u00e9 c\u00edrkve. \u0158\u00edm se pokusil z\u0159\u00eddit unii, kter\u00e1 ale nikdy nem\u011bla \u00fasp\u011bch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V&nbsp;12.\u201313. st. se postaven\u00ed pravoslavn\u00fdch Sy\u0159an\u016f zhor\u0161ilo je\u0161t\u011b v\u00edce. V&nbsp;muslimsk\u00e9m sv\u011bt\u011b p\u0159etrv\u00e1vala n\u00e1lada nep\u0159etr\u017eit\u00e9ho d\u017eih\u00e1du proti \u201enev\u011brn\u00fdm\u201c, co\u017e vyvolalo vzestup n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e9 nesn\u00e1\u0161enlivosti a nov\u00e9 pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1n\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f. V roce 1124 k\u0159es\u0165an\u016fm v Aleppu odebrali t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 v\u0161echny chr\u00e1my a prom\u011bnili je na me\u0161ity. B\u011bhem urputn\u00e9ho boje k\u0159i\u017e\u00e1k\u016f a muslim\u016f o Edessu (1144\u20131146) m\u011bsto bylo sp\u00e1leno a ze 47 tis\u00edc k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00fdch obyvatel\u016f p\u0159e\u017eilo pouze 2 %, ostatn\u00ed byli zavra\u017ed\u011bni nebo zajati muslimy a prod\u00e1ni do otroctv\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Evrop\u0161t\u00ed k\u0159i\u017e\u00e1ci, kte\u0159\u00ed od sebe odradili potenci\u00e1ln\u00ed spojence, v\u00fdchodn\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165any, byli odsouzeni k por\u00e1\u017ece v boji proti isl\u00e1msk\u00e9mu sv\u011btu, jen\u017e m\u011bl k&nbsp;dispozici mnohem v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed vojensk\u00e9 a demografick\u00e9 zdroje. Posledn\u00ed p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitost zm\u011bnit situaci ve prosp\u011bch k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f se naskytla v polovin\u011b 13. stolet\u00ed s p\u0159\u00edchodem Mongol\u016f. Tito pohan\u00e9 \u0161amanist\u00e9 nebo k\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9 (v\u011bt\u0161inou nestori\u00e1ni) byli hodn\u011b nesn\u00e1\u0161enliv\u00ed v\u016f\u010di isl\u00e1mu. Jejich ta\u017een\u00ed v roce 1256 pod veden\u00edm ch\u00e1na Hulagu m\u011blo za c\u00edl zni\u010den\u00ed muslimsk\u00fdch st\u00e1t\u016f. Mongolov\u00e9 dobyli Bagd\u00e1d a postupovali sm\u011brem k&nbsp;Dama\u0161ku, p\u0159itom vra\u017edili muslimy, ale \u0161et\u0159ili k\u0159es\u0165any. Bohu\u017eel v roce 1260 po smrti mongolsk\u00e9ho kagana byl Hulagu s v\u011bt\u0161inou sv\u00e9 arm\u00e1dy nucen opustit dobyt\u00e9 \u00fazem\u00ed, aby se \u00fa\u010dastnil boje o tr\u016fn. V&nbsp;Palestin\u011b nechal odd\u00edl, kter\u00fd byl na podzim roku 1260 zni\u010den egyptsk\u00fdmi Maml\u00faky. Maml\u00faci dok\u00e1zali vytla\u010dit Mongoly ze S\u00fdrie a pot\u00e9 se brut\u00e1ln\u011b pomstili k\u0159es\u0165an\u016fm \u2013 spojenc\u016fm ch\u00e1na Hulagua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>18. kv\u011btna 1268 maml\u00fack\u00fd sult\u00e1n Egypta Bajbars dobyl Antiochii. Desetitis\u00edce obyvatel byly zabity, ostatn\u00ed byli prod\u00e1ni do otroctv\u00ed. M\u011bsto bylo vyp\u00e1leno a zni\u010deno a u\u017e z trosek nikdy nepovstalo. Maml\u00faci Antiochii nechali neobydlenou. Velk\u00e9 zem\u011bt\u0159esen\u00ed v roce 1324 m\u011bsto zni\u010dilo definitivn\u011b. Po ud\u00e1lostech roku 1268 se antiochij\u0161t\u00ed patriarchov\u00e9 u\u017e nikdy nevr\u00e1tili do sv\u00e9ho n\u011bkdej\u0161\u00edho hlavn\u00edho m\u011bsta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obdob\u00ed k\u0159\u00ed\u017eov\u00fdch v\u00fdprav se stalo zlomov\u00fdm bodem v d\u011bjin\u00e1ch bl\u00edzkov\u00fdchodn\u00edho k\u0159es\u0165anstv\u00ed. K\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed v 11. stol tvo\u0159ili t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 polovinu obyvatel S\u00fdrie a Palestiny, se po 200 letech prom\u011bnili v nepo\u010detnou\u00ed etnicko-konfesion\u00e1ln\u00ed skupinu. Ke konci 13. stolet\u00ed byla cel\u00e1 S\u00fdrie za\u010dlen\u011bna do maml\u00fack\u00e9ho sultan\u00e1tu. N\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00e1 politika se v&nbsp;t\u00e9 dob\u011b vyzna\u010dovala mnohem v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed m\u00edrou netolerance ne\u017e za vl\u00e1dy jin\u00fdch muslimsk\u00fdch dynasti\u00ed. P\u0159\u00ed\u010dinou byly psychologick\u00e9 n\u00e1sledky k\u0159i\u017e\u00e1ck\u00fdch v\u00e1lek a t\u011bmito v\u00e1lkami zp\u016fsoben\u00e1 nen\u00e1vist v\u016f\u010di k\u0159es\u0165an\u016fm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>14. a 15. stolet\u00ed se stalo obdob\u00edm temna v&nbsp;d\u011bjin\u00e1ch Antiochijsk\u00e9ho patriarch\u00e1tu. Po t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 stolet\u00e9m toul\u00e1n\u00ed po r\u016fzn\u00fdch m\u011bstech se antiochij\u0161t\u00ed patriarchov\u00e9 v polovin\u011b 14. stolet\u00ed usadili v Dama\u0161ku, nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edm hospod\u00e1\u0159sk\u00e9m a kulturn\u00edm centru S\u00fdrie, kter\u00e9 a\u017e dodnes z\u016fst\u00e1v\u00e1 jejich s\u00eddlem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V&nbsp;prvn\u00ed polovin\u011b 15. stolet\u00ed byl Antiochijsk\u00fd patriarch\u00e1t zapojen do procesu sjednocen\u00ed z\u00e1padn\u00ed a v\u00fdchodn\u00ed c\u00edrkve, jeho\u017e vrcholem se stala Florentsk\u00e1 unie roku 1439. Hierarchov\u00e9 z Bl\u00edzk\u00e9ho v\u00fdchodu se nez\u00fa\u010dastnili Ferrarsko-florentsk\u00e9ho koncilu a delegovali sv\u00e9 pravomoci na byzantsk\u00e9 kleriky. Rozhodnut\u00ed koncilu vyvolalo nesouhlas na pravoslavn\u00e9m V\u00fdchod\u011b. V roce 1443 patriarchov\u00e9 Antiochie, Alexandrie a Jeruzal\u00e9ma ofici\u00e1ln\u011b odm\u00edtli unii s&nbsp;\u0159\u00edmskokatolickou c\u00edrkv\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>R\u00e1ny, kter\u00e9 utrp\u011bla antiochijsk\u00e1 c\u00edrkev, vedly k\u00a0dramatick\u00e9mu sn\u00ed\u017een\u00ed po\u010dtu v\u011b\u0159\u00edc\u00edch, odcizen\u00ed jej\u00edho \u00fazem\u00ed a majetku a poklesu po\u010dtu eparchi\u00ed. Na za\u010d\u00e1tku doby arabsk\u00fdch vp\u00e1d\u016f m\u011bl Antiochijsk\u00fd patriarch\u00e1t p\u0159ibli\u017en\u011b 150 eparchi\u00ed v\u010detn\u011b 12 metropoli\u00ed. Pozd\u011bji v\u00edt\u011bzn\u00e9 ta\u017een\u00ed sult\u00e1na Selima I. (1512\u20131520) zni\u010dilo st\u00e1t Maml\u00fak\u016f. K polovin\u011b 16. stolet\u00ed cel\u00fd Bl\u00edzk\u00fd v\u00fdchod, severn\u00ed Afrika a velk\u00e1 \u010d\u00e1st v\u00fdchodn\u00ed Evropy v\u010detn\u011b cel\u00e9ho pravoslavn\u00e9ho sv\u011bta s v\u00fdjimkou Ruska byly pod nadvl\u00e1dou Osman\u016f. \u00dazem\u00ed S\u00fdrie dobyt\u00e9 Osmany v roce 1517 bylo rozd\u011bleno na n\u011bkolik provinci\u00ed, a pouze Horsk\u00fd Libanon s p\u0159ev\u00e1\u017en\u011b k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00fdm a dr\u00fazsk\u00fdm obyvatelstvem z\u016fstal \u010d\u00e1ste\u010dn\u011b nez\u00e1visl\u00fd. \u00dazem\u00ed Antiochijsk\u00e9ho patriarch\u00e1tu se na dal\u0161\u00edch 400 let stalo sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed Osmansk\u00e9 \u0159\u00ed\u0161e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Osmansk\u00fd st\u00e1t se v prvn\u00edch stolet\u00edch sv\u00e9 existence vyzna\u010doval relativn\u00ed n\u00e1bo\u017eenskou toleranc\u00ed. Nemuslim\u0161t\u00ed poddan\u00ed \u0159\u00ed\u0161e \u2013 pravoslavn\u00ed, Arm\u00e9ni, \u017did\u00e9 \u2013 byli slou\u010deni do etnokonfesn\u00edch skupin \u2013 millet\u016f, kter\u00e9 m\u011bly zna\u010dnou autonomii, v jejich \u010dele st\u00e1li duchovn\u00ed hierarchov\u00e9. P\u0159esto\u017ee antiochijsk\u00fd patriarcha, stejn\u011b jako ostatn\u00ed v\u00fdchodn\u00ed patriarchov\u00e9, teoreticky neztratil sv\u00e1 tradi\u010dn\u00ed pr\u00e1va, v administrativn\u00edm smyslu byl pod\u0159\u00edzen konstantinopolsk\u00e9mu stolci.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pravoslavn\u00ed v Osmansk\u00e9 \u0159\u00ed\u0161i po\u017e\u00edvali zvl\u00e1\u0161tn\u00edch privilegi\u00ed. Ve skute\u010dnosti v\u0161ak tato privilegia osmansk\u00e9 \u00fa\u0159ady neust\u00e1le poru\u0161ovaly. V S\u00fdrii c\u00edrkev musela platit hodn\u011b nez\u00e1konn\u00fdch dan\u00ed, za jejich\u017e neplacen\u00ed Turci mohli uv\u011bznit metropolitu \u010di dokonce patriarchu. K\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9 trp\u011bli v obdob\u00edch politick\u00e9 nestability, ob\u010dansk\u00fdch nepokoj\u016f, st\u0159et\u016f mezi jani\u010d\u00e1\u0159sk\u00fdmi skupinami, bedu\u00ednsk\u00fdch n\u00e1jezd\u016f.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Podle r\u016fzn\u00fdch odhad\u016f po\u010det pravoslavn\u00fdch v&nbsp;Antiochijsk\u00e9m patriarch\u00e1tu v polovin\u011b 19. stolet\u00ed dos\u00e1hl 60\u2013110 tis\u00edc (8\u20139 % celkov\u00e9ho po\u010dtu obyvatel S\u00fdrie). Ve 40. letech 19. stolet\u00ed zde bylo p\u0159ibli\u017en\u011b 290 kn\u011b\u017e\u00ed, 250 chr\u00e1m\u016f, 17 monast\u00fdr\u016f a 110 mnich\u016f. Pravoslavn\u00ed \u017eili ve m\u011bstech i vesnic\u00edch, zab\u00fdvali se zem\u011bd\u011blstv\u00edm, \u0159emesly a obchodem, a sv\u00fdm zp\u016fsobem \u017eivota se t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 neli\u0161ili od muslimsk\u00e9ho obyvatelstva. V\u011bt\u0161ina k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f pat\u0159ila k ni\u017e\u0161\u00edm vrstv\u00e1m spole\u010dnosti, i kdy\u017e mezi nimi byli i docela bohat\u00ed obchodn\u00edci.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Posledn\u00ed stolet\u00ed existence osmansk\u00e9ho st\u00e1tu bylo bou\u0159liv\u00fdm obdob\u00edm reforem a dramatick\u00fdch zm\u011bn ve v\u0161ech oblastech v\u010detn\u011b n\u00e1bo\u017eenstv\u00ed. Vojensk\u00fd a politick\u00fd \u00fapadek Osmansk\u00e9 \u0159\u00ed\u0161e vedl k rostouc\u00ed z\u00e1vislost\u00ed na Evrop\u011b. Pod tlakem evropsk\u00fdch st\u00e1t\u016f Osman\u00e9 p\u0159ijali \u0159adu z\u00e1kon\u016f o zrovnopr\u00e1vn\u011bn\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f s muslimy, svobodn\u00e9m kon\u00e1n\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9 bohoslu\u017eby atd. St\u0159edov\u011bk\u00e9 osmansk\u00e9 hospod\u00e1\u0159stv\u00ed nemohlo konkurovat z\u00e1padn\u00edmu zbo\u017e\u00ed, kter\u00e9 zaplavilo zemi. Muslim\u0161t\u00ed \u0159emesln\u00edci a obchodn\u00edci krachovali. Nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed z&nbsp;nich se odehr\u00e1l v Dama\u0161ku v roce 1860. Tehdy byla zni\u010dena v\u00fdznamn\u00e1 \u010d\u00e1st k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9 komunity m\u011bsta a v\u0161echny chr\u00e1my. Dodnes si 10. \u010dervence Antiochijsk\u00fd patriarch\u00e1t p\u0159ipom\u00edn\u00e1 pam\u00e1tku tis\u00edc\u016f ob\u011bt\u00ed tohoto masakru. D\u016fvodem pro pogrom se stalo zat\u010den\u00ed n\u011bkolika mlad\u00fdch muslim\u016f, kte\u0159\u00ed ur\u00e1\u017eeli obyvatele k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00fdch \u010dtvrt\u00ed Dama\u0161ku. V&nbsp;d\u016fsledku pogromu zahynulo 2 a\u017e 6 tis\u00edc k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f, stovky \u017een a d\u011bt\u00ed byly prod\u00e1ny do otroctv\u00ed bedu\u00edn\u016fm, Turci zni\u010dili 3 monast\u00fdry a 11 chr\u00e1m\u016f, sp\u00e1lili na 3 tis\u00edce dom\u016f a vydrancovali n\u011bkolik konzul\u00e1t\u016f evropsk\u00fdch zem\u00ed. Istanbulsk\u00e1 vl\u00e1da se rozhodla prov\u00e9st demonstrativn\u00ed vy\u0161et\u0159ov\u00e1n\u00ed a vin\u00edky exempl\u00e1rn\u011b potrestat. Do S\u00fdrie byl posl\u00e1n osmansk\u00fd ministr zahrani\u010d\u00ed Fuad Pa\u0161a. V d\u016fsledku \u0161et\u0159en\u00ed bylo zat\u010deno v\u00edce ne\u017e 700 podn\u011bcovatel\u016f a aktivn\u00edch \u00fa\u010dastn\u00edk\u016f nepokoj\u016f, des\u00edtky z nich byly popraveny, v\u010detn\u011b guvern\u00e9ra Dama\u0161ku Ahmada Izzeta Pa\u0161y a \u0159ady vy\u0161\u0161\u00edch d\u016fstojn\u00edk\u016f dama\u0161sk\u00e9 pos\u00e1dky. Pro kompenzaci materi\u00e1ln\u00ed \u00fajmy zp\u016fsoben\u00e9 k\u0159es\u0165an\u016fm b\u011bhem pogromu muslimsk\u00e9 obyvatelstvo m\u011bsta muselo zaplatit 35 milion\u016f piastr\u016f. K\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed p\u0159i\u0161li o sv\u00e9 domovy, se mohli p\u0159est\u011bhovat do dom\u016f muslim\u016f. Tyto tresty zastavili vlnu n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fdch st\u0159et\u016f v&nbsp;Osmansk\u00e9 \u0159\u00ed\u0161i.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aktivn\u00ed pronik\u00e1n\u00ed evropsk\u00e9 civilizace na V\u00fdchod v 19. stolet\u00ed p\u0159ineslo nov\u00e9 nebezpe\u010d\u00ed pro pravoslavnou c\u00edrkev. Spo\u010d\u00edvalo v zes\u00edlen\u00ed katolick\u00fdch a protestantsk\u00fdch misi\u00ed, do jejich\u017e \u010dinnosti osmansk\u00e1 vl\u00e1da dlouho nezasahovala. Emir podporoval koncepci panarabismu a usiloval o vytvo\u0159en\u00ed arabsk\u00e9ho st\u00e1tu, kter\u00fd by zahrnoval Ir\u00e1k, S\u00fdrii a dal\u0161\u00ed \u010d\u00e1sti \u00farodn\u00e9ho p\u016flm\u011bs\u00edce. Podle podm\u00ednek Versaillesk\u00e9 smlouvy z roku 1919 se S\u00fdrie a Libanon dostaly pod kontrolu Francie. Arab\u0161t\u00ed nacionalist\u00e9 v S\u00fdrii spojovali s Faisalem sen o vytvo\u0159en\u00ed nez\u00e1visl\u00e9ho arabsk\u00e9 dr\u017eavy. \u010c\u00e1st pravoslavn\u00e9 komunity tak\u00e9 podporovala tyto pl\u00e1ny. Patriarcha \u0158eho\u0159 IV. prokazoval loajalitu vl\u00e1d\u011b, a kdy\u017e byl Fajsal prohl\u00e1\u0161en syrsk\u00fdm kr\u00e1lem (b\u0159ezen 1920), z\u00fa\u010dastnil se jeho korunovace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ale evropsk\u00e9 mocnosti se necht\u011bly sm\u00ed\u0159it s t\u00edm, \u017ee v Dama\u0161ku vznik\u00e1 ohnisko arabsk\u00e9ho n\u00e1rodn\u011bosvobozeneck\u00e9ho hnut\u00ed, proto v l\u00e9t\u011b roku 1920 francouzsk\u00e1 vojska svrhla Fajsal\u016fv re\u017eim. Patriarcha \u0158eho\u0159, zn\u00e1m\u00fd pro sv\u00e9 nacionalistick\u00e9 preference, byl v letech 1921\u20131922 Francouzi dr\u017een v dom\u00e1c\u00edm v\u011bzen\u00ed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V roce 1922 se Turk\u016fm poda\u0159ilo vytla\u010dit ciz\u00ed arm\u00e1dy, kter\u00e9 obsadily Anatolii. Podle Lausannsk\u00e9 smlouvy se v roce 1923 \u010d\u00e1st \u00fazem\u00ed Antiochijsk\u00e9ho patriarch\u00e1tu \u2013 Kilikie, Edessa a Mardin \u2013 stala sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed Tureck\u00e9 republiky. Na z\u00e1klad\u011b dohody s \u0158eckem o v\u00fdm\u011bn\u011b obyvatelstva byli v\u0161ichni pravoslavn\u00ed z t\u011bchto oblast\u00ed deportov\u00e1ni, a to i p\u0159es jejich protesty a tvrzen\u00ed, \u017ee jsou Arabov\u00e9, a ne \u0158ekov\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kr\u00e1tce p\u0159ed vypuknut\u00edm 2. sv\u011btov\u00e9 v\u00e1lky Francouzi p\u0159edali Turecku provincii Alexandretta (dne\u0161n\u00ed Iskenderun), v n\u011bm\u017e se nach\u00e1z\u00ed Antiochie (turecky Antakya), starobyl\u00e9 centrum Antiochijsk\u00e9ho patriarch\u00e1tu. Tato akce dosud ofici\u00e1ln\u011b neuznan\u00e1 S\u00fdri\u00ed v\u00fdrazn\u011b zhor\u0161ila postaven\u00ed m\u00edstn\u00edho k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9ho obyvatelstva. Teprve v roce 1992 mohl antiochijsk\u00fd patriarcha se skupinou kn\u011b\u017e\u00ed a v\u011b\u0159\u00edc\u00edch nav\u0161t\u00edvit Antiochii \u2013 sv\u00e9 p\u016fvodn\u00ed s\u00eddlo. P\u0159edt\u00edm Turci po dobu 70 let br\u00e1nili c\u00edrkevn\u00edm p\u0159edstavitel\u016fm nav\u0161t\u00edvit toto starobyl\u00e9 m\u011bsto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ve 30. letech 20. stolet\u00ed v\u00fdznamn\u00e1 \u010d\u00e1st pravoslavn\u00fdch spolu s muslimy prosazovala nez\u00e1vislost S\u00fdrie a podporovala arabsk\u00e9 n\u00e1rodn\u00ed hnut\u00ed; jeho vlivn\u00fdm ideologem byl pravoslavn\u00fd Arab Constantin Zureiq, historik, profesor na Americk\u00e9 univerzit\u011b v Bejr\u00fatu. V roce 1940 se v Dama\u0161ku zformovalo j\u00e1dro arabsk\u00e9 nacionalistick\u00e9 strany Baas (dodnes vl\u00e1dnouc\u00ed v S\u00fdrii), jej\u00edm\u017e ideologem byl pravoslavn\u00fd Michel Aflak. Z\u00e1rove\u0148 s arabsk\u00fdm nacionalismem se mezi pravoslavn\u00fdmi rozv\u00edjela ideologie pansyrianismu. V roce 1934 pravoslavn\u00fd u\u010ditel z Libanonu Antoun Saadeh dal t\u00e9to doktr\u00edn\u011b p\u0159\u00edsn\u00fd teoretick\u00fd r\u00e1mec a vytvo\u0159il Syrskou soci\u00e1ln\u011b-n\u00e1rodn\u00ed stranu, kter\u00e1 prosazovala jednotu v\u0161ech obyvatel Velk\u00e9 S\u00fdrie bez ohledu na jejich kulturn\u00ed a konfesn\u00ed rozd\u00edly. Historick\u00e1 S\u00fdrie se podle p\u0159\u00edvr\u017eenc\u016f strany skl\u00e1dala z&nbsp;Libanonu, S\u00fdrie, Jord\u00e1nska, Palestiny, Ir\u00e1ku a Kypru. Tato ideologie m\u011bla d\u016frazn\u011b sekul\u00e1rn\u00ed charakter, nicm\u00e9n\u011b drtiv\u00e1 v\u011bt\u0161ina p\u0159\u00edznivc\u016f Saadeha byli pravoslavn\u00ed. V\u00a0roce 1962 se budouc\u00ed patriarcha stal p\u0159edstaven\u00fdm Balamandsk\u00e9ho monast\u00fdru. Na z\u00e1klad\u011b m\u00edstn\u00ed \u0161koly vytvo\u0159il teologick\u00e9 u\u010dili\u0161t\u011b, kter\u00e9 se pozd\u011bji, v\u00a0roce 1988, stalo srdcem prvn\u00ed pravoslavn\u00e9 univerzity na Bl\u00edzk\u00e9m v\u00fdchod\u011b. Pod veden\u00edm patriarchy Ignatia se v\u00a0antiochijsk\u00e9 c\u00edrkvi uskute\u010dnily reformy, kter\u00e9 p\u0159isp\u011bly k obnov\u011b mni\u0161sk\u00e9ho \u017eivota, bylo postaveno mnoho nov\u00fdch a obnoveno hodn\u011b star\u00fdch monast\u00fdr\u016f a chr\u00e1m\u016f. V Antiochii byla obnovena katedr\u00e1la svat\u00fdch apo\u0161tol\u016f Petra a Pavla. Patriarcha vydal 2 svazky homili\u00ed, katechismus, \u010detn\u00e9 knihy a \u010dl\u00e1nky. V\u00a0roce 1979 byl zvolen patriarchou Antiochie a cel\u00e9ho V\u00fdchodu. Tis\u00edce k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f byly zavra\u017ed\u011bny, je\u0161t\u011b v\u00edce jich muselo opustit svou vlast a vydat se na Z\u00e1pad, do Evropy a USA. P\u0159ed vypuknut\u00edm ob\u010dansk\u00e9 v\u00e1lky v&nbsp;roce 2011 syr\u0161t\u00ed pravoslavn\u00ed byli docela \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u011b integrov\u00e1ni do spole\u010dnosti. V\u0161echny politick\u00e9 re\u017eimy vl\u00e1dnouc\u00ed v&nbsp;pr\u016fb\u011bhu 20. stolet\u00ed byly sekul\u00e1rn\u00ed a k\u0159es\u0165any neomezovaly. Syrsk\u00e1 \u00dastava garantuje svobodu vyzn\u00e1n\u00ed, V\u00e1noce a Velikonoce jsou st\u00e1tn\u00edmi sv\u00e1tky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>K\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9, kte\u0159\u00ed ze strany syrsk\u00e9 vl\u00e1dy nikdy neza\u017eili \u017e\u00e1dnou perzekuci, od za\u010d\u00e1tku konfliktu z\u016fstali vl\u00e1d\u011b loaj\u00e1ln\u00ed. Kv\u016fli tomu byla na \u00fazem\u00edch okupovan\u00fdch isl\u00e1msk\u00fdmi teroristy k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e1 men\u0161ina krut\u011b pron\u00e1sledov\u00e1na. Vra\u017edy, zn\u00e1siln\u011bn\u00ed, ni\u010den\u00ed chr\u00e1m\u016f a monast\u00fdr\u016f, \u00fanosy duchovn\u00edch se staly b\u011b\u017en\u00fdmi jevy. Tak 22. dubna 2013 na cest\u011b z Antiochie do Aleppa terorist\u00e9 zajali pravoslavn\u00e9ho aleppsk\u00e9ho metropolitu Pavla (Yazid\u017ei) a syro-jakobitsk\u00e9ho metropolitu Gregoria Yohanna Ibrahima. O jejich osudu st\u00e1le nejsou \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e9 spolehliv\u00e9 informace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>V&nbsp;Libanonu se po\u010det pravoslavn\u00fdch k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f tak\u00e9 neust\u00e1le sni\u017euje. Podle s\u010d\u00edt\u00e1n\u00ed lidu z roku 1932 tvo\u0159ili pravoslavn\u00ed 9,8 % populace, podle odhadu v roce 1975 jich bylo 7 %. Po\u010det pravoslavn\u00fdch se na konci 70. let 20. stolet\u00ed odhadoval na 300 tis\u00edc lid\u00ed, v roce 1995 na 295 tis\u00edc, v\u011bt\u0161ina z nich jsou obyvatel\u00e9 m\u011bst. Po vyhl\u00e1\u0161en\u00ed nez\u00e1vislosti v roce 1943 se Libanon stal parlamentn\u00ed republikou s n\u00e1bo\u017eensky konfesn\u00edm syst\u00e9mem, zalo\u017een\u00e9m na vyv\u00e1\u017eenosti n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fdch skupin v politick\u00e9m syst\u00e9mu. Politick\u00e9 strany jsou organizov\u00e1ny v\u011bt\u0161inou na konfesn\u00edm principu. Po p\u0159\u00edchodu palestinsk\u00fdch b\u011b\u017eenc\u016f do zem\u011b a n\u00e1sledn\u00e9m vyost\u0159en\u00ed vztah\u016f mezi n\u00e1bo\u017eensk\u00fdmi komunitami se zem\u011b v roce 1975 propadla do ob\u010dansk\u00e9 v\u00e1lky, kter\u00e1 trvala a\u017e do roku 1990. Libanonsk\u00e1 \u00fastava byla v roce 1990 dopln\u011bna Ta\u00edfskou dohodou, kter\u00e1 zaru\u010dila rovnopr\u00e1vnost muslim\u016f a k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f ve vl\u00e1d\u011b. Ze 128 k\u0159esel v&nbsp;parlamentu 64 pat\u0159\u00ed k\u0159es\u0165an\u016fm, z&nbsp;nich\u017e 14 je p\u0159id\u011bleno pravoslavn\u00fdm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sou\u010dasn\u00e1 hlubok\u00e1 ekonomick\u00e1 krize tak\u00e9 nut\u00ed pravoslavn\u00e9 Libanonce opou\u0161t\u011bt svou vlast. Jde doslova o exodus k\u0159es\u0165an\u016f z&nbsp;Bl\u00edzk\u00e9ho v\u00fdchodu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ofici\u00e1ln\u00ed \u00fadaje o po\u010dtu v\u011b\u0159\u00edc\u00edch Antiochijsk\u00e9ho patriarch\u00e1tu nejsou k&nbsp;nalezen\u00ed, podle r\u016fzn\u00fdch odhad\u016f je jich kolem 2,5 milion\u016f (2015). Jsou to p\u0159ev\u00e1\u017en\u011b etni\u010dt\u00ed Arabov\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Patriarch\u00e1t se skl\u00e1d\u00e1 z&nbsp;23 eparchi\u00ed, z nich\u017e 6 je v S\u00fdrii, 6 v Libanonu, 3 v Turecku, 1 na \u00fazem\u00ed Ir\u00e1ku a Arabsk\u00e9ho poloostrova, 5 v&nbsp;Severn\u00ed, St\u0159edn\u00ed a Ji\u017en\u00ed Americe, 1 v Austr\u00e1lii a Nov\u00e9m Z\u00e9landu a 1 v&nbsp;z\u00e1padn\u00ed a st\u0159edn\u00ed Evrop\u011b. V S\u00fdrii a Libanonu za\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 obrodu pravoslavn\u00e1 mni\u0161sk\u00e1 tradice, obnovuj\u00ed se star\u00e9 monast\u00fdry a zakl\u00e1daj\u00ed se nov\u00e9. Zakl\u00e1daj\u00ed se monast\u00fdry v&nbsp;Evrop\u011b a Americe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u010cinnost patriarch\u00e1tu je tak\u00e9 zam\u011b\u0159ena na charitu a soci\u00e1ln\u00ed podporu lid\u00ed. Existuj\u00ed po\u010detn\u00e1 bratrstva, charitativn\u00ed organizace, sirot\u010dince a domovy pro d\u016fchodce, zvl\u00e1\u0161t\u011b rozvinut\u00e9 jsou c\u00edrkevn\u00ed l\u00e9ka\u0159sk\u00e9 \u00fastavy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>P\u0159i Balamandsk\u00e9m monast\u00fdru existuje Teologick\u00fd institut sv. Jana z Dama\u0161ku. N\u011bkter\u00e9 metropole pro vzd\u011bl\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed sv\u00e9ho kl\u00e9ru po\u0159\u00e1daj\u00ed pravideln\u00e1 sympozia a teologick\u00e9 konference. V Libanonu a S\u00fdrii patriarch\u00e1t spravuje velk\u00e9 mno\u017estv\u00ed \u0161kolek, \u0161kol a vysok\u00fdch \u0161kol. Vyd\u00e1v\u00e1 se liturgick\u00e1 a duchovn\u00ed literatura, modlitebn\u00ed knihy, teologick\u00e9 spisy.
